Three days later, February 4th, 2022

Everything is finally back to normal at work. Well, almost everything. If death was a person reincarnated, it would be Danielle this very afternoon. She's felt like absolute shit since last night, her husbands figuring it's the stress of everything that's happened to them lately exiting her body. She had hoped it would be gone by this morning, whatever is making her feel miserable, but no, it's still present in her body. It's making her ache all over and all she wants to do is not do a damn thing. But no, she came to work because her conscious wouldn't let her rest if she had called in sick. "I'm telling you man, it'll be a good investment!" Adam loudly calls out to Kevin from his desk, Atwater halfway down the stairs to go to Trudy just to sign a report. "Dude, shut up." Danielle groans at Adam, he and Jay looking at her. "What?" He asks her. "Just shut up, you've been bothering everyone with those stupid fucking meal replacement shakes most of today. Just because you like them doesn't mean we will so stop telling us about them." She explains to him, sounding very irritated. "Geez, what's got you all bent out of shape?" Jay asks, raising his eyebrows. "I don't fucking know." She answers harshly. "Are you hungry...?" Kevin innocently asks as he walks over to his desk, already done with what Trudy needed, but Jay and Adam run with the question before Danielle even has a chance to politely respond to Atwater. "Yeah, you're probably hangry, huh?" Adam asks her with a smile. "You should eat a Snickers." Jay adds, he and Ruzek looking over at each other. "Because you're not you when you're hungry." They both say in unison, high fiving each other as the sniper just glares at them. "Oh, or are you PMSing?" Jay asks. "I read that women should eat chocolate." Adam tells her. "Not for their period, dude. That's for bedroom stuff." Jay says with a lopsided smile. "Do you make your three old timers eat chocolate so they can at least make it through round 1?" He is quick to add. "Can they even keep it up?" Adam asks, Jay high fiving him again. "For the love of God, just shut it. Shut up. Be quiet for literally a whole minute. It's not that fucking hard. I'll staple your mouths shut if I have to." She snaps at Ruzek and Halstead who's smiles quickly fade. After rubbing her temples a bit, she gets up and silently walks to the break room, finding Antonio slouching on the couch that's in there:

"Thank you for shutting them up, mi reina (my queen)." He tells her with a small smile, watching her walk over to him and sit where his left leg isn't occupying room on the couch. Without a word, she scoots closer to him, grabbing his left arm out from behind his head softly. He watches her every move as she rests his arm over her shoulders and leans against his chest. Her legs lazily lay lengthwise along the rest of the couch, and she moves Antonio's left hand to hide her face from the sunlight in the room as she closes her eyes. Even though her hair is tickling Antonio’s neck and jaw, he doesn’t care. It's now natural that she would lay against him, or Hank or Al, when she's tired, sad, feels like crap, or just flat out wants to be touching them. Danielle is their girl and everybody knows it, which the three men are very proud of. Al happens to walk into the break room for a water bottle, finding Antonio and Danielle on the couch. She looks adorable to both of them, so sleepy and cute. Olinsky and Dawson don’t tear their eyes away from Danielle's figure, even though her face is being covered by Antonio's hand. They look away from her when Adam walks in, chuckling at the sight, causing Al and Antonio to glare at him. "Get out, kid." Al whispers to him, Adam raising his hands in mock surrender as he walks backwards out of the room, quickly going to find the boys to tell them what he's found. Hank walks into the room, just finishing dealing with a phone call from Platt. He smiles a bit at the sight of their girl, and with the look Al and Antonio give him, he understands that the sniper isn't feeling good. That's what the three love about her as a guarded girl; she let them into her life, not because she needs them, because they know very well she stopped needing people long ago, but because she wants them, and they find her love the most purest of all. "Is she asleep?" Hank softly asks Antonio. "I'm awake. My head might explode though." Danielle answers, making the three of them smile. "I'll go get you some Tylenol." Al tells her as he walks out of the break room. "What's going on, darling?" Hank asks her, watching her shrug slightly as she holds Antonio's hand. "I feel sick." She answers softly. "Eres un poco cálida (You're a little warm)." Antonio says as he uses the back of his free hand to feel her forehead. "Do you need to go to a doctor?" Hank asks her gently as he walks over to stand beside her legs. "No, I don't feel that bad." "Have you eaten anything yet aside the breakfast we made you?" Al asks her as he walks back into the break room. He proceeds to grab a Vitamin Water from the fridge for her, holding out the two white Tylenol Extra Strength pills and the now opened drink to his wife who Hank helps sit up. A soft thank you leaves her mouth, not wasting any time in drinking the medication afterwards. "To answer your question, I haven't eaten anything else. I don't feel hungry." "But nena, you have to eat." Antonio tells her after placing a kiss to her right temple. A small groan is heard from her, making the three of them look at each other. "I just wanna curl up with you." She tells Antonio, cuddling into his side again while staying seated. "And then with you, and you." Danielle tells Al and Hank with flushed cheeks, not because she's embarrassed or being shy, but because the fever is making its way throughout her face. "Wow, you look as bad as Adam described, Phantom." Kevin's voice says as he, Ruz, and Halstead stand at the doorway. "Thanks." The sniper sarcastically groans. "It's kinda cute though, you know? You looking all miserable and not badass as these three baby you. Who knew they have soft spots." Adam says, trying not to laugh. "Giving someone medication is not babying them." Al calmly says, narrowing his eyes at Adam. "We should totally take pictures of her right now." Jay continues the teasing with a chuckle. Maybe it's because she doesn't have the strength to produce any witty comments, but the teasing gets to the sniper so bad that tears form in her eyes and slip onto Antonio's shirt. "Let's call it a day." Hank sternly tells the boys, not liking that they've made his wife cry, even if it wasn't their intention. "That's a great idea." Al quickly agrees. "What? Why so sudden-" Kevin softly jabs Adam's side who turns to look at Atwater. He motions to where Danielle is, Adam finding Dawson softly wiping away some tears from her cheeks. "Let's get you home, babe." Antonio softly tells his wife who stays cuddled with him. Al silently walks towards the boys who hurriedly disperse from the doorway, trying to seem busy so they don't get scolded. "Can you make the boys leave first, please? I don't feel like looking at them." She asks softly, a light blush sweeping across her face as she keeps it hidden. "I'll get them out of here." Hank says, leaning down and giving her head a kiss before he quietly leaves the break room. Al sits on the other side of her and as soon as he's comfortable, Danielle switches sides and cuddles him just like she had been doing to Antonio who now plays with her hair in a soothing manner, the three waiting for Hank to return. "You three." Voight lowly tells the boys who freeze at their desks, slowly turning to look at him. All the Sargent does is point into the hallway, the three following him to the end of it. "Sarge, we're sorry. We didn't mean to hurt her feelings." Jay apologizes first. "I hope she knows we were just playing around because now I feel like an absolute dick." Adam says, Kevin and Jay nodding in agreement. "Look, she's been feeling like this since last night, but it wasn't this bad, so just go ahead and go home. Don't worry." Hank explains, the boys apologizing again before they walk away and to the locker room to get their things. "She's already in Dawson's car, said something about getting a head start on getting her home." Al informs his best friend who nods. "Alright, I just have some papers to finish then we can get going." Hank says, Al following him to his office to keep him company.
