Today wasn't a very good day for Mikan. She had tripped over 3 toys and bumped into 5 of her classmates. She was covered in bandaids by the time school was out. Her caregiver, Ibuki, lightly scolded her about not putting her toys away, but not so harsh as to make it seem like it was Mikan's fault for getting hurt.

~Time Skip~

The second Mikan got to her dorm, she curled up into a weeping ball. When Ibuki heard this she came running to her baby girl.

"Whats wrong honey bun?"  Ibuki asked gently. Mikan's only response was a soft whimper.

Ibuki pulled Mikan into her lap and gave her a hug, and kiss on the forehead. "Its okay bunbun," Ibuki whispered. "Nothing can hurt you now. Mama's here."

Ibuki rubbed circles on Mikan's back and hummed a lullaby until Mikan's crying was reduced to just sniffles.

"Would you like to tell Mama whats wrong now, sweetpea?" Mikan looked up at Ibuki, her crystalline eyes extra glossy with tears. Ibuki could tell by her trembling lip that another round of crying was threatened if she said anything.

Ibuki gave Mikan another gentle kiss on the head, picked her up, and sat her on the bed. "Lets just make this a calm little day. Would you like to pick a cartoon, dear?" Ibuki cooed.

Mikan's eyes shimmered with a small bit of excitement. "Y-yes!" She responded with enthusiasm.

Ibuki smiled, seeing that her baby had cheered up a bit. She hated seeing Mikan so sad, but it was good that she could let it out of her system. "Alright which cartoon do you want to watch, darling?" Ibuki asked, picking up the remote.

"B-bwuey!" Mikan said with knew-found joy. Ibuki already had it pulled up, as it was Mikan's favorite little space show. She chuckled softly and picked an episode from Season 2 called Bingo, which just so happened to be Mikan's favorite episode.

Mikan squealed with excitement as she heard the intro play, she softly sang along. Ibuki rubbed Mikan's head while she watched cartoons.

After a few episodes, Ibuki noticed Mikan was getting drowsy. She dimmed the lights, got Mikan's bedtime things, and got them both cozy.

Mikan slowly drifted to sleep, and Ibuki couldn't help but think about how much she loved Mikan. She'd do anything for her beautiful little girl. She was happy to see Mikan so comfortable with her, and hoped it would stay that way. Ibuki cuddled up with the sleeping Mikan and started drifting soon after turning off the TV.

"Goodnight my beautiful baby doll." Ibuki whispered lovingly, before slipping into a comfortable sleep.
