(Here we see Nico, Dallas, Curie, Hancock, and Maccready come back to sanctuary hills)
(Not too long after, Nathan comes back with Piper, Dogmeat, Sheffield, Skinny Malone, and Nick Valentine)
Dallas: What are you doing here?
Skinny: I got kicked out of the vault. ME. Skinny Malone! You and Nicky are my best shot at gettin some payback
Dallas: Welcome to the club
Sarah: Where the hell have you been?
Nico: I've literally been saving children from diseases. I also found this robot doctor who got transferred into a synth body. Nathan recruited some friends to help out. And Dallas is here
Dallas: Hello Sarah
Sarah: Hmm. Should have known you'd be mixed up in this. We could definitely use your help
Piper: Well well, if it isn't my second least favorite mayor in the commonwealth
Hancock: Nora? Why are you wearing a newsboy cap?
Nathan: That's actually Piper. Although, she does look a lot like her...
Preston: General. We've gotten big enough in numbers that we're having trouble communicating with all our settlements. It's a good problem to have though. And I have a solution. It's time to retake the castle. It uses to be the old minutemen HQ, way before my time
Nora: The castle?
Preston: Or fort independence. It's centrally located, well fortified, and most importantly, it has a powerful radio transmitter we can use to broadcast to the commonwealth. Should I have an assault force assemble near the castle?
Nora: Yes. Lets do this
Preston: We'll do some recon and meet you outside the castle. See you there. Nico, Nathan, I'll fire my flare gun in the air if we need reinforcements
Nathan: We'll keep an eye out for it
(Nora, Preston Garvey, and a group of minutemen meet near the castle)
Preston: Everyone's here, general. There it is. The castle. Pretty impressive, huh?
(Preston points off into the distance, showing a large wall, and part of it's demolished)
Preston: It's real name is fort independence, but the minutemen always just called it the castle. Now you can see why I wanted to take it back. The radio tower's the most important part, but this could also be a really strong outpost. Know what I mean?
Nora: The walls could use some work, but otherwise it looks pretty impressive
Preston: I admit, it's seen better days. But the minutemen have never been afraid of hard work. Our primary objective is to clear the courtyard. That's where we should see the most opposition
Nora: What's in the courtyard?
Minuteman: The place is crawling with mirelurks
Preston: The wall on this side is the most exposed, but if we circle around south, we could also reach the main gate
Minuteman: What are we waiting for? Lets get in there and shoot those lobsters!
Minuteman: If we split up, we can hit them from both sides. It'll be like shooting fish in a barrel
Minuteman: Why not let them come to us? We can set up a firing line on this side and draw them out
Preston: Well, general, what do you think?
