'Are you going with the others to the gates' Makkari signs to me as she furrows her brows.
'Is there a reason I shouldn't?' I signed back;
My eyes follows hers to Druig resting his head on the window sill where he can see the battles unfold. I nodded as I understood.
Making my way through the orange hazed room from the fires below us breathing their breath up high. My eyesight aligned with the window and see why he's frowning.

"It's not fair." He says
My breath held for a moment, thinking of ways to assure Druig always caught me off guard.
"It's not." Was all I can say.

He lifts his head off the glass and turns towards me, his eyes flickering gold ribbons shining like glass despite no longer facing the flames; his forehead red from the pressure of the window and a brow raised.
He spoke without saying the words. I was never able to read other eternals feelings or minds but I always found a way to know his.

He hates watching them drown in their own whirlpools of mindless gnawing and slashing of one another risking their lives for a leader with a cause forged for them.
"How many more years am I suppose to sit by and let this happen when I have the ability to end it all?" He clenches his tunic.
I look down, our eyes no longer met.
"Ajak has never led us astray, Druig" I sigh and turn away , I can feel his eyes on the back of my head waiting for another word from me, but I couldn't form one. It didn't make sense to me either. The pain and loss of the land .
You of all people would know Nadia

I imagine he would say.
But with every loss there's something made anew. I've felt the fear of the Ox. The trembling of the Deers, the pain of the woman who's husband fought for their home just to be put down by a blade moments later.

If I didn't trust in ajak's plan I'd have already gave up.

I made my way to the door that lead to the halls a signed 'see you soon' to Makkari as she did the same.

This wasn't the first war he done this in; the last time he had was the last time I've seen him.
I remember when he stepped up that time.
"You're gonna have to make me" his head held high. I would have went with him across the towns floors millions of times like I always have if not for his actions that led him from Ajak's orders. We went our separate ways soon after.

No idea where the others went , I've found my home in Rio of Brazil a more desolated area that I preferred. I have a beautiful home full of plants and birds that come and go as they please, Safe and away from the minds of the wicked and minds of the abused. My powers remain useless unless you need a dog trained.

I set the birds their fruit and a bowl for myself with a honey mixture Gilgamesh taught me so long ago. I felt a shake of the trees and the birds sudden call to me.

To my surprise, it was not a group for deforestation but my fellow eternals landed near by in a .. jet

I've welcomed them dearly each one a tighter hug than the previous. Gilgamesh, Thena, Ikaris, Sersi, Sprite and Kingo.
"Nadia you.. done great with the place " Kingo says as he travels his fingers on the desk and examines its dust.
"Where's your room?" Sprite asks as she crosses her legs and rests them onto my table.
"Please have manners Sprite—-"
I nudge her feet onto the floor and smile dearly.
"this is my room; I have everything i ever needed in this hut.."
they all nodded as they changed their expressions quickly.
"Listen we need to talk about Ajak.." Ikaris trails off into what was needed to be told. What we are, why we do what we do and what happened to Ajak..
my heart stung for a moment and the birds cawed . I wonder if they felt it too?
"This wouldn't of happened if we had stayed together."
"Nadia, what matters is we don't have much time and we still need to get Druig-"
Druig was a memory never far off my mind these past years. His what felt like betrayal to me never changed either.
"I'll go. No need to explain further .."
Sprite smirked over to Kingo.
Our Trip to Druig wasn't long, I would've never guessed he lived so near. Was is intentional?  he had known? Only people who knew was Ajak and Ikaris; neither of them he spoke to.

We walked thru the village and quick my instincts I felt emptiness. No thoughts just noise . Ikaris poked a shoulder of a working man
"Excuse me do you know anyone by the name of Druig? We -uh- went to College together?"

He turns around with familiar golden eyes "Eternals it's a pleasure to see you all again."

This made sense of the empty feeling I thought
Moments later the face to match the mind control came out of its hut. A sly smile on his face. His eyes met mine fast.  For a moment I felt a relief, I felt a weight lifted.

"Nadia, just because you live with animals doesn't mean you have to look like one."

"I'm sorry what?",
There goes the weight lifted
