Taissa rolled around in her bed, placing her pillow over her head. She removed it and turned to look at the clock on her night stand, "6:45" it read. It was fifteen minutes before she usually got up.

Downstairs she could hear the sound of clinging pots and smelled bacon sizzling. She knew her parents had gotten up early to cook breakfast again. They were always morning people, and that she couldn't understand.

Taissa rolled out of bed and headed to the bathroom. She turned on the water, getting ready for her shower. For some strange miracle the water was hot. She was never lucky enough to get hot showers.

20 minutes later, Taissa was out of the shower and dressed. She didn't feel like trying too hard this morning so she simply put on a floral dress she had bought about a month ago and some white slip on shoes. She dried her hair vaguely and put her hair up in a bun. She wasn't too fond of makeup so she skipped that and headed downstairs, where the smell of bacon and eggs was stronger than ever.

"Look who's up and ready," Vivian said as she placed some eggs on to a plate, adding some bacon on top. Behind her, Taissa's father Ben was flipping pancakes. " Yeah, I guess the smell of your food got me up," Taissa said, raising an eyebrow with a smirk. " Well I wouldn't be surprised, I mean we do cook the best bacon and eggs in this town," her father said, placing the pancakes in the middle of the counter.

He then got another smaller plate and put some eggs, with bacon and two pancakes onto another plate and slid it in front of Taissa. " Eat up, hun." Taissa grabbed a piece of bacon with her hand and began chewing it as she walked to the fridge and took out the Orange juice, serving herself a glass.

" So what's the plan, kiddo? Need a ride to school or is Finn picking you up?" her father asked sitting down next to his wife while they both began on their breakfast. " uh, yeah he's picking me up. He should be here in like 10 minutes. I texted him not too long ago," she said, sitting back down.

" Alright, then. So how's it going between you two?" her mother asked, raising one eyebrow while she took a sip of her coffee. Taissa mouth full just shrugged her shoulders. " We're good. I mean we've been dating for about a year now and things are fine to be honest. I really like him I think. Don't you guys ?" she asked. Both her parents turned to look at each other with a smile. Her dad then got up with his plate and walked up behind her, giving her a kiss on the head. " He's great, kiddo"

Their suburban home was always quiet in the morning. You didn't really hear cars nor commotion like one would in the city. The most you could hear was the sounds of birds chirping or a jogger strolling pass each house. Which is why they were a little startled when they heard a big truck pull up across the street.
" Al's Moving Service" was plastered in big black bold letters on the side of the truck.

" There's someone moving in across the street?" Taissa asked confused. " Yeah hun, don't you remember that the Montgomery's moved about 2 weeks ago. I mentioned this to you before. There's new people moving in now, and I guess today they're bringing in all their stuff," her mother explained as she walked up to the kitchen window to take a peak outside.

"I must of forgotten, I mean I don't pay close attention to this type of stuff. After all we don't really talk to our neighbors so not like I care," she answered, rolling her eyes. Taissa then stood up next to her mom and looked outside as well. She could see the movers begin to take out a brown old couch and some paintings that were wrapped up so that they wouldn't get damaged. Not to long after a car pulled up behind the truck and a man around the same age as her father got out of the car. He began talking to the movers but Taissa couldn't make out what he was saying.

" Okay so is that supposed to be the guy that's gonna move in? Just him? What is he a loner?" Taissa asked, while her mother walked away and began cleaning up the table. " Hm, I don't think so. I remember hearing that it would be him and his son I think but I'm not sure" she answered, uncertain. Taissa turned back to look outside when she noticed that there was someone on the passenger seat of the car. It was a boy, about her age. He had stepped out of the car and Taissa could see that he had been wearing a white t-shirt with black jeans. He had wavy brown hair, pale white skin and as he walked to talk to his father, she could see his really dark brown eyes that seemed to glisten. She still couldn't hear what they were saying but she knew they must have said something funny because the boy had smiled and dimples lit up his face as he took a small chuckle, looking down on the floor.

Taissa found herself still starring when all of a sudden the boy looked up and their eyes met. He wasn't smiling anymore, but he kept his eyes locked on hers. Taissa, quickly looked away, snapping out of it and noticed Finn pulling up in front of the house. He smiled at her as he saw her through the window and waved for her to come out. " Bye guys, I'll see you later," she said kissing bother her parents before rushing outside.

Finn was waiting outside his car, leaning back on it. " Hey ready to go?" She asked reaching for the handle of the car. " Not before a kiss," he answered, taking her hand away as he grabbed her head and began to kiss her. " Not right now, we're right in front of my house," she said, trying to pull away. " Oh, come on we're not doing anything wrong are we?" he asked, still holding onto her. She then opened one eye and could see the boy standing across the street, smoking a cigarette. He looked at her for a second before putting the cigarette out and he heading back into his house.

" So what's up with that?" Finn asked, signaling at the truck with his head. " New neighbors Huh?" he then began to walk back to the drivers side and stepped into his car. Taissa followed. " Yeah, I think it's some guy and his kid" she answered, buckling up her seat. " Fascinating." Finn said sarcastically as set the car into gear and drove off.
