"Let's go!" Madi yelled from the private jet.
"New York, here we come!" I laughed.

"I can't believe this is your childhood home." I said in awe as we stood in front of a tan brick home.
His family lived on the outskirts of New York.
"Grandma, grandpa!" Madi yelled as she ran into their arms.
"Hi, baby." Dylan's mother smiled.
"Hey Mom, Dad." Dylan smiled.
"Hi, sweetheart." She smiled.
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien." I smiled.
"Please, call me Patrick." His dad insisted.
"And please dear, like I said before, call me Lisa. Mrs. O'Brien makes me feel so old." His mom spoke.
"Come here, little monster." Dylan's dad opened his arms for Madi.
She rolled her eyes. "I'm not little now anymore.. I'm twelve now."
"I'm sorry, Madi." He laughed. "You'll always be my little monster, so get over here!"
"Why don't you all get settled in and then we can have dinner?" Lisa suggested.
"Oh, there's been a change of plans." Patrick began. "I got a nice deal on some steaks and the weather is so nice."
"So you're barbecuing?" Dylan asked.
"Exactly!" He nodded.
After we all unpacked and settled, we all met in the garden for dinner. Dylan's parents have the most beautiful home I think I've ever stepped foot in.
Don't get me wrong, Dylan's apartment is modern and fancy, but his parents home is so.. homey. There are flowers in every room and there's cute pictures of Dylan and his siblings everywhere. You can tell this house has been filled with a lot of joy and love.
"So, what do you two have planned for tomorrow?" Lisa asked.
"I have no idea what Dylan has planned." I shrugged.
"I have a ton of things planned, but I'd like to surprise you." Dylan smiled. "Are you sure you two are okay to keep Madi all day?"
