thunderstorm: san

the rain pounded against the windows relentlessly as the thunder and lightning beamed around your boyfriends apartment, each instance jolting you awake.
after a night of light drinking and movies the rain started pouring so you and your boyfriend, san, collectively agreed for you to stay the night at his place, as it was far too late and wet for you to go out. you both stumbled your way into his dimly lit bedroom and leapt under his warm, soft covers, the feeling almost euphoric as the sound of rain ricocheted throughout the apartment.
you both stayed up for a while, giggling, talking, discussing why hongjoong would be first to die in a zombie apocalypse, yano the usual things.
eventually you both started getting drowsy as your mouths moved less and less and before you knew it, it was 4 am and you were abruptly awoken at the sound of a large crash and a flash that lit the entire room up.
your breath started getting heavier as sweat settled on your skin, safe to say you don't deal well with thunderstorms.
you were just about to lay down again when you heard a groan come from the tired figure beside you.
"hey, you okay?" san asked drowsily
"ah yeah i'm fine just.. it's thundering" you said with a slight tremble in your voice
you laid back down besides san and faced him, your eyes met for a while as san mouthed a simple "it's okay" with a reassuring smile to follow.
he lifted his hand up to your head and stroked your hair gently before resting his hand on your cheek, his thumb softly grazing it.
"you'll be okay, i'm here okay?"
he leaned forward mildly and placed a sweet, delicate kiss on your lips before placing his arms around your waist and pulling you forward into his embrace, your head resting on his chest with his head resting upon yours he began to hum softly, you soon drifted off to the vibrations of his hum and the rhythm of his heartbeats, as the soft moonlight shone through the window.
