Ainsley smiled as she answered the the door as Iain walked in with Angel. "She's asleep already?" Ainsley asked.

Iain smiled. "Yeah. I'm sorry. I couldn't keep her awake any longer. We've been to the fair. You know, Angel's order," Iain said.

Ainsley looked to him and smiled. "You're too soft with her. Do you know that?" She said.

Iain laughed. "I know. I heard you're coming back to work next week. Are you okay with that?" He asked.

Ainsley smiled and nodded. "I am. Look, it won't be easy but I need to. For my girls. And thank you for having Angel a lot," she told him.

Iain grinned. He nodded. "Of course. We might not be together. But we've got a daughter together. And I want to do this. I want to make this work. And I do want you to meet Alexis. She's at work now. But maybe before you go back to work?" Iain said.

Ainsley smiled as she looked at him. "Sure. I feel like I already have. Angel adores her. And I can see how smitten you are with her. She seems good for you. And good for you you're having another baby. Just don't do an Iain and mess it up," said Ainsley.

Iain looked to her and laughed. "I won't."

Ainsley opened the door and glared as she saw Sam. "What the hell do you want?" She asked.

Sam looked to her and smirked. "Oh come on. Don't be jealous. I came to see Madison," Sam said.

Ainsley led him inside. She looked to him. "Now you want to play dad of the year do you? I mean it's not as if you've been there for her lately. You come and go as you please. You know something? I wouldn't put it past you to be glad Cal is dead. Or to do it yourself," Ainsley spat.

Sam looked to her and frowned. "You really think that of me?"

Ainsley looked at him. "All I know is that you're a bully. And no matter what way you look at it, you are to blame for his death. And I will never forgive you for it. Madison your dad is here," Ainsley called.

Sam glared as he looked at her. "I get that you hate me. And I get that I messed up. But I do love you. I really do. I know you hate me right now. But sooner or later, you will see that Cal dying was for the best," Sam said.

Ainsley glared and slapped him. "You know what I think? I think it's a shame it wasn't you!" She spat.

Ainsley stood in the ED. She looked to see Iain as he walked over with a blonde girl. Ainsley looked to him and smiled. Iain smiled. "Ainsley this is Alexis. Alexis, this is Ainsley," Iain said as he introduced the two of them.

Alexis looked to her and smiled. "It's nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you," she said.

Ainsley grinned. "So have I from Angel. She adores you. And I can see that you make Iain happy. He deserves that," Ainsley told her.

Ainsley could see how good Alexis was for Iain. But she had no idea how things were about to change. And how good of a friend Alexis would become to her.
