*I am sorry for any wrong spelling or errors in this story,it is my first book I hope you all enjoy.I hope to post chapters as soon as I can.*
So there I was. My hands tied behind my back,on my knee's kneeling in front of six people who had the auras that rivaled that of gods. To say the least I was terrified, but this is not where the story begins. This story begins about six months earlier in a somewhat small condo on the outskirts of Cleveland Ohio. Before that I should show my manners and introduce myself first. The names dawn, dawn oaks. To put it shortly I'm what people call a trouble maker,or if your my friends a stereotypical main character. Despite that I really don't see myself as one. I would call myself the antagonist or side character whose there to bring comic relief in the story. Oh and before I forget if you don't believe in the magic, other worlds, or the unsuspected I would stop reading this right now if I were you. If you are still reading all I can say is good luck. Now to get back to the main story that you are all probably here for not my long rambling about my boring self. The story starts about six months ago in a somewhat small condo on the outskirts of Cleveland Ohio.
I was sitting on a plush pink couch ( much to my dismay) in a room of pink and purple. You may be asking "dawn why are you in a room of pink and purple?". To answer your question. I was in my new home. To give some backstory I had just recently moved in with my supposed aunt. Her name was Margaret, but I much prefer to call her aunt m. See before now I was living with my recently deceased older brother in the great city named lakeside city. What an original. To put it simply I was in Texas country land. From what I'd known my whole life I had been born and raised on the family farm out there. When my brother, Austin, passed away I was devastated. I never knew my parents, apparently my mom died giving birth to me and my father was never in the picture. All I knew was that one moment I was in a warm home with my loving brother, and the next thing I knew I was sitting on a bright pink couch in a room staring at me new found aunt Margaret who seemed to be bored with my presence. Not like I asked to be here.
"So....." I said. I tried to find something to talk about but there really wasn't much. Like what are you supposed to talk about when your with someone you barley know. On top of that the said person has no intention to interact with you too. Besides all of that she overall did seem like a nice person. Just closed off. " so what?" She said. Wow that was a bit harsh. Nice introduction miss snobby. " sorry, I'm not one to talk to people. I see we have got off on a bad start, excuse that last statement of mine. I hope to get to know you better." aunt m said. " I also apologize for my previous behavior. I know I can come off as harsh sometimes. I truly do not wish to cause you any trouble. But given the circumstances can you blame me for being scriptural of you. I mean finding out you have an aunt you've never met let alone heard of from a side of your family you've never met. On top of that your family that were alive refused to talk to you about them doesn't help at all." I said quit angry towards the end.
" Ah! That does make sense but I would have thought Marie would have told something about your father and his side of the family?" She said questioningly. Now that was a surprise, I had no idea she knew who my mother was, given I have never met her properly. " you knew my mother!" I said enthusiastically. Getting up from the hot pink couch excited to know what more she knew of my mother. " why don't you know your mother? She was quite the young lady if I remember correctly?" She said with a confused expression. " I'm... no ma'am. She passed away during childbirth. I never knew her. I was raised by solely by my brother back on the family farm." I said sorrowfully. Aunt m then proceeded to look at me with a look of remorse and sorrow for me. I hated that look. It reminded me of the look everyone at my brothers funeral gave me. The look of pity. I never needed anyone's pity and never will. Despite that the look only lasted about second before she looked at me with a kind hearted smile. Something she hasn't done since I met her. It suited her petite and fragile look more then her stern and unwelcoming dementor before.
" come here dear." She said, patting the spot next to her. Hesitantly I walked around the coffee table that was located between the two couches. After I sat down next to her she pulled me in and gave me a side hug. " something to know about your mother dear, was that she was no ordinary woman. She was one of a kind. Someone I was very lucky to know let alone meet, and if you're anything like her than there is no reason to be acting as sad as you are. Now how about we go bake some cookies and get to know each other. Also a boy around your age is coming over later to drop off some things. He lives in the neighborhood. I hope you two will get along. As a warning he is quite the stubborn one though. So please have some patience with him. He's quite nice when you get to know him." She said as she made her way to the kitchen. That was in fact the last time we talked about any family I was related to. She refused to talk any more about my mother. I tried to get her to talk at least a little bit about my mother. Given that I know almost nothing about her I wanted to know. On top of that, what aunt m said earlier really confused me. What did she mean mom was one of a kind and not ordinary. But no matter what I did nothing seemed to work. I eventually gave up realizing that my efforts were getting me nowhere. Despite that I was determined to learn something, anything really I could about my mom, but that could start another day. Right as I was about to ask if aunt m knew anything about my father given that she was apparently related to the mysterious person who helped create me, the doorbell rang. " I wonder who that could be?" I asked.
