FIRST CHAPTER HERE WE GO
----------------------------------
I'm not going to narrate my whole life, now that would take longer than the time the gods spend half their lives, inside Kronos' gut. And believe me that was a long time even for the gods themselves.
Anyway, growing up I always knew there was something quite different about me, something that differentiated me from the rest of the kids. By now you might be wondering what my name is, well I am Selome, no last name. Just Selome. Or rather, σελομε.
It wasn't until I was twelve that mom told me the truth about her, more likely the truth about my dad.

When Cressida - that was my mom's name - was 25 she met a guy, he claimed to be called, Ares. Cressida didn't mind that Ares was the name of the God of war. No god would come to earth to mingle with the filthy mortals right? No, wrong. The Ares my mom met was the actual Ares, God of war. She didn't find out about this until she was pregnant with me. Eight months later I was born and a week after that Ares was forced to leave baby me and mom. Zeus did not and would not allow favoritism of any kind with the demigods.

Long story short, I was basically an adrenaline junky, always looking for a fight. And given the fact that most girls where like "I don't fight, my hair will get all messed up" , and most boys wouldn't fight a girl, or they'd say you fight like a girl, like that was supposed to be an insult, there was only one person left that would be willing to fight me until we were both sweaty and panting. My best friend, Alexander. Alexander, was 6'5 way taller than my 5'7. But he was skinny, and his muscular arms, didn't match his noodle-like body at all. Neither did it match his personality, he was the most awkward and sarcastic person I had ever met. That was the main reason for us being best friends, we were both alike.

It was thursday afternoon when my mom, told me about my father. Most people would've been awestruck, a lot of people would have gone nuts. Not me, I was thrilled, I was euphoric, the funny thing, Alexander was twice as thrilled as I was. He couldn't believe it, "You're half god! Gods of olympus! You're half god!" he'd say. And I would just grin excitedly and nod.

I felt as if I was going to burst with excitement, but that feeling only lasted a couple days before the war started. Persians had started attacking out of nowhere, and we where told that some kids had been selected to train for war, but this wasn't what surprised me the most, I knew this was going to happen, what surprised me the most was when one our soldiers, Kole, my big bro in fact, came knocking at our door that same afternoon, requesting, that me, a girl get my things ready, I was going into war.
