Riiinnnnggg...Riiinnnnggg...Riiinnnnggg
The obnoxiously incessant ringing of the landline startled Andrea awake at the ungodly hour of five o'clock in the morning. If I don't get up, maybe they'll stop calling, she thought. The ringing stopped, and for a grand total of thirty seconds, she thought her plan had worked.
Riiinnnnggg...Riiinnnnggg...Riiinnnnggg
Groaning, she stumbled out of her bed, and sauntered into the living room towards the source of the noise. On the last ring, she picked up the phone and answered it with a bitter, "What?"
"Why hello and good morning to you too babe. Not a morning person I gather?" the caller teased, chuckling.
Familiar as the voice sounded, Andrea couldn't place it and questioned him in a quick-fire fashion, "Who are you and why in the unholy mother of hell are you calling me at five o'clock on a Sunday morning?"
"Oh how terrible! You don't even remember the fantastic tour I gave you yesterday!" Wesley responded with mock surprise.
"Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not sure I recall..." She played along; the sound of his voice was like a cup a caffeine packed coffee, pumping energy into her tired body.
"I would never have thought that you, Andrea Portier, would forget the best tour you ever got."
"You seem to have mistaken me for someone else. I have absoluetly no idea who this Andrea Portier you speak of is, but she sounds undeniably gorgeous." she goaded.
"It's a shame you don't know her because I was hoping I would be asking her to join me for a day out. And you're right. She is definitey undeniably gorgeous." His words brought a warm glow to her cheeks and she was almost sure she was blushing.
"Oh were you now? And what were you planning on doing on this day out?" she asked.
"Well, I was thinking we'd go to the beach and have a picnic for lunch. And then if she were up for it afterwards, we'd go get ice cream. I figured she'd enjoy a day out with her new bestfriend." He told her.
"She would love that, I'm sure."
"Would she love it if we met at Jackcson Square in 20 minutes?"
"Yes."
