^ Picture of Aidan
-Aidan-"Aidan are ready for your first day of high school?!" My older brother James shouted from the hall of our apartment in Manhattan, New York.
"No, I don't want to start school again!" I replied shoving all the stupid school supplies I needed for my classes.
Soon, I'll be sitting in the back seat of my brother's Toyota with my best friend Percy Jackson. I slung my backpack over onto my shoulder shoving my iPhone into my jeans pocket darting down the stairs to grab food. I elbowed James out of the way to grab the milk jug chugging it down as our adopted mom watched us rolling her eyes.
"Teenagers, what am I supposed to do with you two now that you are both in high school?" She asked sipping her glass of OJ.
"Whatever you want, we probably won't even be here on because we will be partying." I answered shrugging my shoulders.
"You have to be invited to those parties to be that type of person Aidan." James said packing our lunches.
"I know, I also know you aren't that person." I grinned as he sent me a death glare.
"You two are going to be late, come on get out!" Mom ordered clearing us to the hallway.
"Bye Mom!" James and I both hollered slamming the door shut behind us.
"Grab Jackson, I'll start the car." James instructed heading down the stairs to the parking lot to his prize possession. It wasn't even that nice of a car but it was a car.
"Okay," I nodded walking over to Percy's front door. I knocked twice before his mom, Sally Jackson answered it.
"Hi Mrs. Jackson, is Percy ready to go?" I asked with a smile on my face.
"Oh he didn't tell you? Gods that boy, I'm sorry Aidan, Percy says he doesn't need James to give him a ride anymore." She notified with an upset look on her face.
"What, Percy and I always go to and leave school together." I mumbled under my breath trying to figure out the reason why this could be.
"He was supposed to text you yesterday but knowing him, he forgot." She said rolling her eyes with a warm inviting smile. "Well after school why don't you stop by and I'll make blue cookies and lemonade?"
"Sounds good Mrs. Jackson." I nodded saying goodbye as I headed to the parking garage to find James waiting there impatiently.
"I told you to grab him not take like ten minutes catching up with they guy. Umm Aidan- where is Percy?" James asked scanning around to see if Percy was just trudging slowly behind.
"Percy doesn't need a ride anymore." I uttered under my breath climbing into the passengers seat.
"Oh well don't worry Aidan, you'll see him at school and it's not like you live next to him." He teased starting the car driving to school.
James might've been right but it wasn't like Percy to suddenly change his mind about carpooling. Hell he was the one who wouldn't stop bugging me about it this summer.
