((BIG DEATH TW.))

The plane was going down. 'Lucky Clover's engines had finally begun to fail after so many years. I knew they would when I first boarded her, hence why I insisted on flying alone. On any regular day, I wouldn't have left without my copilot. But could feel it in my gut -- today would be the day Clover wouldn't be so lucky, and she was going to go down. I let go of the controls, leaning back in my chair as she dived towards the water, death imminent as we fell faster and faster towards the water's surface.  Hell, I was proud to be Clover's pilot.

We crashed down into the ocean, and she began to sink. I opened up the window next to me in hopes that it would speed up the process of our sinking. The flight deck slowly began to fill with water. The back end, however, was sinking faster, leaving me lying on my back in my chair, looking up through the window to the sky. The water was rising quickly as the ocean began to swallow Clover and myself whole. Soon, the water covered my face, the salt stinging my eyes. Sure, I could save myself, cry out for help, but I believe it was meant to be this way. After all, a pilot should go down with their plane as a captain does with their ship, at least in my mind. My lungs fill with water as my life begins to slip from my hands, and I find myself unconscious. Maybe death isn't so horrifying. After all, what is life without death? There can't be an end without a beginning, nor a beginning without an end... I can feel myself losing all strength as Clover is finally all the way beneath the surface. And just like that, it's all over. I died where I was the happiest. That was all that mattered to me.
