Have you ever heard of the man in the yellow raincoat? No one knew what his face looked like, all they could see was the back of his raincoat and what he looked like from behind; tall, slanky, and mysterious. He always hid behind the hood of his raincoat. People knew his name though, Kent Withers, everyone was afraid of him. Wherever he went a dark and dangerous aurora followed.

Crowds parted like the red sea when he was seen in public; in stores he was allowed to have whatever he wanted if he was out of the store within five minutes.

They thought he didn't belong in such a lovely place. The town wasnt cursed so why was he there?

He didn't live in town though, he lived in the forest near it. Before his wife, May Withers, was murdered, he built a small cabin for the two of them to live in for the rest of there lives. Thw cabin was surrounded by tall and healthy trees. But it's like the trees could feel his emotions; sad, scared, and angry.

To this very day the trees are on the verge of dying. Every night the moon would shine deep within the forest with swirls of clouds blocking people from seeing the stars. Every light on the cabin would be on when Kent was there, he couldn't stand being alone with the lights off. It made him think there would be ghosts in the house due to how empty and defeated it looked on the inside.

It was never that way when may was alive, she would keep it decorated during the holidays, there wouldn't be a speck of dust on shelves, and there was always something in the oven that would give the house a lovely aroma. It all changed when she died.  People say his soul died when she did.

He made it his goal to turn in the person who killed his wife. Everyday he would wonder why someone would kill such kill such bright and cheerful lady. May wouldnt even hurt a fly if her life depended on it. She seen the bright side in everything. Never once did she give up on people. She was a hard working woman. She baked cupcakes and cookies for the towns church and hospital. She loved kids, she wanted her very own but she died at the age of 26. There were very few people who wanted to hurt her, 3 at the most.

Her best friend, Julie, was close to May so she could get closer to Kent. Julie has lived him since the 9th grade. Everything the best friends do, he has to go too. May never noticed. She just thought they got along together good and wanted to spend time with each other. Kent never paid attention to Julie, so she accused May for it. Kent knew Julie never wanted to be May's friend but he didn't say a single word because he knew that it would break her heart.

The sales lady at the local grocery store never liked May because she accidentally made all the shelves fall. Since then she made sure that every time his wife left the store she was in tears, or had a few scratches on her at the very least.

And lastly there was Janice, the spoiled rich snob. She had a hatred for May ever since they met, nobody knows why. She always made fun if May, criticized her, tripped her, and even as far as pushing her around. Janice's boyfriend grew very found over May, he would buy her coffee every time he saw her. Janice grew jealous because he never paid attention to her the way he did to May.

It's now November 1995 and Kent still doesn't know who killed May even though he research for months. He spent day and night trying to find the killer. It doesn't help that two of them moved across the country a few months ago. He knew it was one of the three but he didn't know which one.

Kent can't just turn in all three if them, so he went back to investigating, security cameras, footprints, fingerprints anything that could have a lead on who murdered his precious wife. Watching the camera for the millionth time, he catches sight of a bracelet the murderer had on their wrist. How could he have missed this, something that simple and he missed it. He could have found found all along but he didn't pay attention. Maybe he was blinded by all things that could find out who murdered May, that he didn't even notice that simplest thing that could lead to figuring out who killed May.

Kent knew he was going to have to tell the police, but he knew that they wouldn't want to listen to him. Kent was left with only one option left, write them a letter. He couldn't write clearly, but it was understandable.

Once Kent returned home he got to work. Sitting at his dinning room table, he made many attempts to write the letter. Every single time you couldn't read it good enough or because what he wrote didn't make sense. With one final attempt Kent wrote the letter.

Dear Chief Wilson,

I know you may not want to read this but its important. Do you remember the murder case on my wife, May Withers. The one that you said there wasn't any leads or witnesses to solve the case. I know you said to not worry about it but I can't live a life knowing that person who kill the love of my life's murderer is out in the world living a life without regretting it. He or she, heck maybe even they need to be behind bars. I searched security cameras, fingerprints, anything that got left behind, but I came up empty handed. I had this feeling like something was telling me to do something, so I watched the security cameras one last time. I've always skipped the part where May was killed. How could someone watch the love of their life die while knowing you weren't there for her?  I guess I was in a daze because I didn't even know that I was watching someone murder her. As soon as the gun shot rang through the computer, I caught a small glimpse of a silver bracelet with gold swirls in it. It reminded me of the bracelet that I was going to get May for our anniversary. I knew it came from the local jewelry store. I figured that I would go ask and see who had bought a bracelet then, but as I had neared the store I noticed this girl walking. Stopping by I asked her where she got it from and she said it was a gift from......

Kent didn't even get to finish his letter before he was shot in the stomach twice. With blood pooling around him, sirens going off in the distance the murder still walks the earth rooming and being carefree.

When the police found Kent, he had his pen in his hand laying on the colf hardwood floor. There was dried up blood everywhere. As the investigator continued to look around he found the same another letter by Kent.

You thought I was going to go down without a fight huh? Well guess what I'm always multiple steps ahead. Nothing can stop me.

They say Investigators still don't know who was the murderer if May and Kent Withers. Years have past and many people try to figure out the sad tragic murder, but luck isn't on anybodies side.

Well at least Kent got one thing he wanted. He got to be with his precious wife again and this time he isn't leaving.
