"Just look at him! It's a lost cause!" Kai said as he defended himself from the blows of Zane's sword.
"Kai, you say that because- "
"Just look!" He interrupted the ice.
Zane looked back at Morro. He was sitting on the last steps of the Monastery, playing with some sticks and two leaves. The Ice Master looked at the Fire Master in disappointment.
"Kai, you brought him out with you and made him sit there, and he found work. It's not his fault." Defend the sword blow.
"You mean it's mine!?"
"No. But his sure isn't."
"And what do you want me to do? You know what I'm going through.. for a second I thought I saw Nya again..."
"Kai.. it's been a few weeks since then."
"I know Zane, I know.. but it's hard.. and now HE appeared! It's already too much." He stopped slowly from the attack. "I miss her.."
Her departure brought a void in each. Family, brother, boyfriend, friends, Master... Nya was one of the pillars of these teams, a voice, determination. Without her.. silence spread over souls. Kai and Jay were the most affected of them all. Jay wasn't good, he wasn't even now, but he was trying. He felt empty inside... he was dying of longing and pain. He had sleepless and crying nights, and not only him. Her departure was a huge blow. There's not a day that they don't want to.. Nya to come back to them...
Morro had heard their conversation, and after Kai slowly began to cry with longing in Zane's arms. The little one had begun to place the sticks found nicely next to each other, after he had put the two leaves over them. He felt bad. He was the reason to cry. Looking further into the distance, he caught a glimpse of Kai as he approached him.
"Hey Morro..." He sat down next to him. "I guess you've already heard the conversation. And I don't want you to think that.. because of you I.. gave up. Okay?"
"Okay..."
"I finished training with Zane. I was wondering if you'd like me to help you with your memory."
Morro looked at him with wide eyes. He didn't think he would hear that phrase. Or that it will be from Kai. He approves that he wants that. The little boy followed the Fire Master to the bedroom. There was a lot of red and orange in it, but it was beautiful. The brunette sat in bed at the tall man's words.
"Morro, what do you want to know first?"
"What have I done to Lloyd in the past?"
Kai was silent. He couldn't tell him.. it would ruin everything. Maybe who knows.. this Morro may become part of the team in the future.. good.
"Nothing. You didn't do anything to Lloyd."
"Your lying... Please tell me the truth.." He looked at him pleadingly.
Kai sighed. "I'll tell you at the right time, okay? You're too small."
'So... I really did something wrong.. I hurt him.. Was I a bad person? That's why Kai hates me...?'
He looked down, worried about what he might have done in the past. Forest green eyes had seen a picture on a wardrobe. It was one with a girl and Kai.
"Who's with you in that picture...?" He asked softly. He felt that he knew her, that he needed to know who she was.
Kai looked at the picture described to him. A small smile appeared on his lips. "My sister... Nya."
"Where is she now...?"
Kai looked at the picture for a long time. "I have no idea..." He closed his eyes. "I'm going to the bathroom quickly. Stay here."
Morro approves. When the Fire Master leaves, the little one slowly approaches the picture. He wanted to see her better. He took it carefully in his small hands. He looked at the girl. She seemed familiar. Why? He kept looking at her until the door suddenly opened, scaring him. The picture slips out of his hand, falling to the rough floor. The glass shattered, the frame broke. He quickly put his hands to his mouth, his eyes and soul in pure fear. He looked fearfully at the person who enter. ... It was Kai.
"I-I.. i-it wasn't on p-purpose. I- "
"REMAIN SILENT!!" He yelled at him. "YOU DESTROYED EVERYTHING! I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY MASTER WU LET YOU STAY! YOU'RE AS HORRIBLE AS IN THE PAST!!" He screamed at the boy with all his heart. "Nobody wants you here. Go away."
Morro trembles. Tears welled up. His heart was beating too hard. His legs began to move, running.
------
The wind was blowing as the feet fled. Heart pounding as eyes cried. A stone was in front of him, and his right foot stumbled over it, and his body fell on the ground. Earth on clothes, elbows and hands. Face assaulted by water and more. He struggled to his feet. Eyes like a faucet saw a small pontoon. He walked slowly toward it, sitting on the edge. The tips of his feet did not touch the cold water of the open sea. Hands hugging the trembling body. A scream of a child caught in the net of sadness was heard in complete silence. The little boy's scream. Tears rushing down his red cheeks quickly.
"I DESTROYED EVERYTHING!!... THEY HATE ME!! NO ONE WANTS OR LOVES ME! NO ONE!!"
He kept crying, trapped in his soul by gloomy pain.
"Are you feeling alright?"
A majestic, divine in voice, in ocean echo asked. Morro hissed, looking scared, hardly seeing who was talking to him. A girl, made of water, was watching him. Morro wiped his cheeks and eyes with tears as he looked at the girl better. She was... similar to someone.
"Why are you crying?" The girl made of water asked.
"I-I... I ruined a s-s-special picture for-for..." The little one began to cry again.
"Don't cry.. I'm sure it's nothing. Was it intentional?"
"No! I wanted to look at her better, and when he came back he scared me and I dropped it.. the frame broke.. the glass shattered..." The tears had softened a little. "I did not..."
"Did he shout at you?"
Morro nodded. Even now he could hear Kai's voice screaming at him. The water girl sat down next to him on the pontoon.
"I'm sure he'll understand it was just an accident."
"He hates me.. from the beginning he hates me.. now I gave him another reason to do it more..."
The girl from water looked at him a little. "What's your name, little boy?"
"M-Morro... I think.."
"Nya.. I think."
Morro looked at her with an expression of shock and disbelief. "Nya...? Kai's sister..?"
"Yeah.. He yelled at you?"
Morro approves. "I ruined a picture of you and him.. I'm sorry..."
Nya smiled sympathetically. "Give him time.. he's just upset- " She stopped abruptly, looking at the ocean. "Do you hear that?"
"To.. to hear what?"
"The sea.. the ocean.. the water.. it's so loud, noisy..."
Morro looked at her, then the water. "Is it calling you?"
"Yes..." She said in an echo. She gets up, falling into the water, disappearing from the little one's vision.
Morro was trying to feel better.. but nothing. He wasn't processing well what was just happening. Did he really talk to Kai's sister? How did he get into this state? Does Kai.. hate him? He felt in his heart that he did. A foreign loneliness gripped him. He felt empty inside, alone, lost...
Slowly he rested his whole body on the cold wood, his eyes closing slowly, with a single sad breath to escape at the end.
