Jiang Cheng was panting, closing his clothes, but as she was glaring at him quite openly now  –  he squinted his eyes and hissed:

- Give the cursed thing here!

She hesitated, but after a quick look at Lan Xichen, who nodded slightly  –  she brought the parchment to her Master, bowing, and leaving.

Jiang Wanyin finally managed to escape from his husband's tight grip, and now crawled quickly away from him, sitting among the cushions with his legs crossed. Lan Xichen seemed amused, but Jiang Cheng was frowning, waving the letter in his hand:

- So you really want this?  Mm? Telling me off over a blasted letter?  –  he huffed.  –  What will you give me in exchange for this?  –  he dangled the roll in the air.

- Anything...  -  Lan Huan was still too turned on, still drunk on his husband's skin.  –  You can ask for anything... Always. Letter or no letter. Wanyin...

Jiang Cheng pouted.

- I hate it when you scold me, Zewu-Jun!

He looked away, but within a second felt Lan Huan's warm body next to his. He reached out, but Jiang Cheng avoided his hand, sulking.

- Sweetheart... Please... You know full well that I don't care about letters... It's just Wangji that matters.  –  he murmured, trying to coax him back.

- Wangji, eh?  –  he huffed.

- Wanyin... Please...  -  he begged getting on his knees and stretching his arm to reach him.  –  How can I make it better, darling... My beautiful darling... My lovely husband...

Jiang Wanyin reached up and slowly undid his hair, earning a moan from Lan Xichen  –  he knew it was torture for him right now.

He mumbled, swaying his long hair free:

- You can have the letter in exchange for your headband, Zewu-Jun.

Lan Xichen hesitated. He could not be seen without his Gusu headband, especially by the Clan disciples. Why did Jiang Cheng dislike the ribbon so much? Every time he asked  –  his husband would give a vague answer.

Was it because of Lan Wangji? There had been indecent... rumors...  about his brother and what he supposedly used the headband for. But then he flinched  – perhaps his lover wanted to try something... similar?

He undid his hair fully, letting it fall too, flushed. Jiang Cheng took the white ribbon from the trembling fingers, biting his lips. Lan Xichen looked so beautiful now, it took his breath away. He gave him the letter and pressed the ribbon to his chest, gazing at him almost in awe.

He felt weak and dizzy and relaxed back on the pillows, breathing heavily. He hated himself for this constant, daily need for proof of love and devotion from his husband. The love and trust Lan Huan was showing him in that very moment were filling his heart with too many emotions.

- Damn hormones.  –  he mumbled.

- Are you alright? Wanyin?  –  Lan Xichen approached him, but did not dare come too close.

-  Zewu-Jun... -  Jiang Cheng shook his head slightly.  –  Take me to bed. Please.
