        ''Jellal wake up" my home room teacher yelled at me. I woke up with my paper stuck to my forehead. "I'm sorry, sir I was an up all night studying." I lied, trying to stay out of trouble.  "I don't believe you. Detention for the next two days." I looked down in defeat but then Iruki said "He is telling the truth Mr.G. I was tutoring him last night and believe me he needed it." Mr.G looked at me and I gave him my best innocent look "Ok, Ms.Iruka, I believe you and Jellal no detention this time.” I smiled and looked at Iruka.

She was a straight "A" student and one of the most popular girls in our school.  Above all she was one of my best friends and a member of my clan. Classes proceeded as normal, I wasn't the best student but I made good grades except in math. Ugh math, the bell rings for school to end I didn't notice I had dozed off again. I met up with Iruka and my other best friend Damian. Me and Damian are in different classes this year.  He doesn't do very well in school but still manages to pass all his classes. It's not because he is dumb, he is a very logical thinker but school doesn't interest him. He is also in the clan with me and Iruka.

"So are we getting on tonight?" I asked "You know I will be on tonight and it's the weekend so we can pull an all nighter." he said smiling. Iruka looked at us with a serious face "We need to get our homework done first."  Iruka said as she tried to look us in our eyes. Damian and I looked away trying not to fall prey to her gaze. "We have all weekend to do it." Damian said as we had arrived at a fork in the road so we all said our goodbyes and went our separate ways toward our homes.

I walked home in silence with my headphones blasting. Just thinking about my life and how better it would be if I was in an anime or video games. I would be the antagonist that traveled the world and fought great beast and find legendary treasure. I sighed and looked at my house. It was a two story house with a little yard and an old gate. I walked in the house my mom usually was not home and my little sister was probably at a friend’s house. I take my shoes off and go into the kitchen and fix me a bowl of cereal and head up the stairs to my room I turn my computer on and begin to eat my cereal. After I finish eating, I got a call on my computer from Damian and Iruka. I put on my headset and answer the call. "The match starts in an hour let’s get prepared." Iruka and I nod our heads.

Today was the day of the finals in the number one game Dream n Drop an open world RPG. It is the most played game of the year, and my team the "Watching Dogs" were competing in the finals against the "Devils Arachnids". My online character was called Lightning Lamb. He was a regular size person but was toned. He had blond spiky hair that went down to his back. He didn't wear a shirt he had a green puffy vest with fur on the edges of the hood. He had on black cargo pants with black and green shoes. My weapon of choice was gauntlets that had a very rare lightning effect, I got while I was grinding on a survival mission with Damian.

The match was getting ready to start I was at the loading screen. I zoned out, I was completely focused on the game I couldn't hear anything going on in the real world. I was selecting my armor; I wanted to go with something fast and quite so I equipped the spike shoes, which allows you to run on walls and the headband of fortitude which increases my health by two. The game finished loading and I looked at Iruka's character she had on a rare Quincy armor that raises stamina and improves accuracy. On her back was a strong long bow.

"When did you get that armor Iruka?" I asked, since this was my first time ever seeing her use it. "Oh some guy gave it to me for no reason." She told me looking a little confused.

I swear females get it easy guys just give them free stuff good stuff at that just because they are woman.  I shook my head and looked at Damian to see him in an overdrive suit of armor it is very weak in regular form but in overdrive mode it gives you ten times attacking power and speed for half your life points.
"You are really serious about this aren't you?" Damian looked at me and said "Yes, I am they said the prize is even beyond everyone’s wildest dreams. That’s why I have this baby." he patted on a super rare buster sword from the Insanity collection.  I smiled and looked forward as the introductions began. "Today's match is the final match of the competition. The final match will be played by team Cerberus, a powerful and vicious team and their opponents The Void." The announcer said.

I never watched the voids matches and for some reason you couldn't find the videos on the YouTube. But Damian manage to catch one of their games when he skipped school, he told us how fast the match ended and you didn't get to see any of their signature skills. The counter had started it was a capture game, the first person to get the desired object and return to base was the winner, but it was a 2 out of 3 game. "Iruka you’re providing cover fire you stay up high unless you have to get close, Jellal you are the fastest so you have to get in and out, I will back you up but I won't go into overdrive until the second or third match." Iruka and I nodded as the time hit zero the object was a ball the stage was a city there was about thirty buildings. Iruka ran off toward the tallest building.

I took off running so excited, I past the second block when an arrow flew in front of me; I stopped as soon as it passed my face. "Look there are wires all over the place be careful." Iruka warned me, I nodded I heard a ticking noise. The ball had spawned it was five buildings away from me. I didn't see the enemy so I quickly made it to the building Damian not too far behind. As soon I walked in, there was one of the enemy players, "I thought you were as fast as lightning." he snickered as he picked up the ball and the siren went off "Keep up kid". A siren went off, "One point for the Arachnids." we were spawned back at the starting point. "What the hell was that?" I yelled frustrated "Calm down they just got lucky I got this one." Damian breathed out slowly, "We could always beat them in a fight, Iruka show off the light." Iruka nodded. The match started and Iruka shot out a bow that exploded red dust everyone knew that this meant we wanted a fight but would they except all of a sudden buildings started blowing up. "I guess that's a yes." Damian said.

 Then two of them walked out of the dust and debris. "I got the motor mouth" I said as I took off running toward him Damian started running toward the other enemy with a lance. "Don't go overboard Cilo," The man with the lance said "I got this Armstrong," he said back running toward me.

Before I got close enough to throw a punch Cilo started throwing knives, I dogged them by deploying the spikes in my shoes and running on the building. I jumped off the building and superman punched him you heard a clicking noise as my gauntlet shocked him. He hit the ground hard. As I threw the next punch he rolled out the way and kicked me in the face. I recovered from his kick, as I felt a sharp pain in my arm he had hit me with one of his knife. "You think this is enough to beat me," I shouted as he smirked and I saw a shimmer of light coming from a metal string connected to the knife he started throwing me through buildings. "Your team is no match for the Arachnid," he laughed.

Infuriated I used one of the buildings as a spring board, putting a huge hole in from the take off as I leaped toward the him. My gauntlets started to glow as fire came out the holes in the gauntlet. I gave him a powerful uppercut sending him into the air. When he reached over the buildings he was shot down with giant arrows of light. "Thanks Iruka" I yelled, as I ran and got the ball. It was now tied and we were determined to win. "Ok, operation home run is now in order." Damian commanded as we stood in the starting gate I looked at Iruka.”Please don't mess up this time, Iruka.” She turned her head and acted like she didn't hear me. Damian shouted out "Overdrive" his armored started to glow and pieces started to emerge from the suit. I inhaled and exhaled as the buzzer rang and the ball dropped in its location. Damian grabs me by the collar and tosses me into the air as I come down he swung back his sword and used all his power hitting me with the flat side of his sword projecting me toward the ball. Flying at an incredible speed, Iruka's job was to shoot down anything in front of me. All I could see was falling buildings and arrows flying beside me. After a couple of seconds, I saw the ball fall from one of the collapsing buildings close behind it was team Arachnid but they were too late, I slammed my gauntlets together using my ace in the hole "Time Stop" everything had paused as I flew into the ball "Hell yeah!" I screamed as I grabbed the ball we had won the game.
