Chapter 13: Training & Bonding

[Scene cuts to at the forge, Hiccup making a saddle.]

Gobber: That's it! I'm quitting the job!

Hiccup: Gobber, you can't just quit like that!

Gobber: With all of your flair, I wanted you to take over the forge!

Malissa flies around in frustration.

[Scene cuts to at the cove, Hiccup presenting Toothless with the saddle.]

Hiccup: Hey!

[Toothless playfully runs away from Hiccup.]

Some people chuckled at the scene when one of them spotted Gustav next to a Nightmare.

Random Viking: When did that kid get there?!

Gustav's parents noticed as well and started to get closer to the side but Gustav hugs the Nightmare.

Gustav: No! I won't let you take me away from Fanghook!

Everyone and his parents were surprised that he said that.

Clara: Uh, how long have you been here this whole time?

Gustav: After Hiccup read the Book of Dragons.

Everyone gasped.

Clara: Looks like you would have a bond with him. Please, take good care of him.

Gustav: I will!

Clara then turned to his parents.

Clara: As for you, he will be safe. Don't worry.

Gustav's parents are getting worried by now but they decided to get back to their seats.

[Hiccup rides Toothless, tugging the prosthetic tail fin with a rope to change its position. The wind blows at them and they tumble backwards.]

Everyone gets a pale face with the "oh no" look.

[Toothless crashes into a field of Dragon Nip and rolls in it comfortably.]

Astrid: What happened to Toothless?

Hiccup: He's getting high on the Dragon Nip.

Toothless glared at his rider as Astrid laughs.

Hiccup (cont.): Whoa!

[Hiccup then holds up Dragon Nip. The scene cuts to Hiccup still holding up the Dragon Nip, but at the Arena. Hiccup grounds a Gronckle during training by rubbing Dragon Nip on its nose.]

Stoick: So, looks like he's trying to avoid harming the dragons.

Fishlegs: What was that? Some kind of trick? What did you do?

Tuffnut: How'd you do that?

Hiccup: Use Dragon Nip.
