Both families then teleported back towards their home, and proceeded to heal and revive those who are dead. The entire fight was broadcast throughout the entire city. It was publicly announced that I became the new bridge of both families. Everyone in the market starts to look at me differently, before I was just scum to them, now I am respected.
I still have no idea as to where Ren went, but either way I will find him, I will find my way to him, or we will find each other along our path.
After a few months, the Delise and the Diopadre met once again and shook each other's hands as a sign of truce, and both acknowledged me as the new bridge of both families. I am proud of my role, and I am proud to maintain the peace of both families. Every now and then, I go to the top of the hill and offer flowers to Zinnia's grave. I tell her about the training, the journey, and how much of a pain Riki is.
My journey is just the beginning, what I have learned and seen so far is nothing but the tip of the iceberg. There are still more I still have to find and learn, in order to unlock the best of my abilities.
As a bridge of both families, I can visit both families whenever I want, I also record meetings, deliver a message for both families, but the most important job of all is maintaining the peace of both families.
My journey has been a long one, it has its ups and downs, but I survive. I was then given a pendant by both families, I don't carry them with me, but I always keep it near me in case a situation might sprung up.
I look throughout the distance as I stood on top of this hill, I see a beautiful sunset, I hear the crashing of the waves, and the strong wind pushing down on my face. The smell of the ocean is giving me the hint of freedom and peace. Perhaps when my time has come, I want to be buried beside Zinnia.
"The world is changing; I can feel it" I say to myself as I took in a deep breath.
A portal then opens up and Nox signals me that time is up and it's time to head back to the house, I nodded and followed him through the portal. My eyes are filled with joy for what's waiting at me over the portal is my new family.
I shed tears, it was a long and tough journey for me, but it gave me a family, they might not be perfect but they are family, each having their own unique abilities and set of magic. I am beginning to love this family, and I hope they do the same to me too.
Riki then grabbed my hand and asked me to cook cake for her, then play games afterwards. I smiled then laughed as I signal to her that I will catch up later, and I still have a few things left to do.
A portal opened and the Delise family joins in, they bring out gifts and brought food for tonight's dinner.
"How does it feel to be the new bridge of both families?" Dred Diopadre asked.
I replied. "Exhausting."
