Cora gasped for air as she stopped mid run. The queen had sent her henchman to kill her, she was heavily pregnant thus making her weak and slowing her down. She needed to get to civilization fast or she would be caught while she was at her weakest moment. She opened her bag of concoction and took out the eagles tears. Hastily drinking the bitter tears to prevent going into labour.

Trying to look for a way out the witch took her crystal ball and tried to track the henchmen who were tracking her and taking advantage of her weakness. Her baby was absorbing her power and she couldn't fight the men head on so she needed to outsmart them. They were drawing closer and she had to act fast, "You can't run little witch" one of the men called in a rasp voice as he neared the cave.

"She has to be in here there is no way she can run that fast her child is about to be born and she has no power" he continued as he neared the entrance. She waited patiently for them to come positioning herself so she can see them clearly. "Aha" one shouted but she splashed them with osmendus powder before they could react. Clutching a napkin to her nose she ran out of the cave.

Osmendus powder is made of dried crocodile brain it can cause death when eaten but momentary paralysis when inhaled. Escaping out of the cave she ran as fast as she could fearing that one of the men might have avoided the osmendus. She had to get help fast or the eagles tears might affect he baby if labour is not induced soon. Cora found herself in the territory of Demitris the vampire king.

Vampires and witches were great enemies ever since the vampires tried to force the witches to evoke the Graved amulet which was suppressed by the witch ancestors.

Cora was thrown in front of the king her back ached from the impact she gritted her teeth and bit her tongue so as not curse. The king looked at her with cold grey eyes "Didn't I tell you bloody witches that if I see you in my land I will kill you" his voice was calm but his eyes flashed murder. "It is not by choice obviously" Cora snorted rubbing her sore hands together. Dimitris stood up and with his super speed he had pushed her to the wall at the far end of the hall.

Cora coughed and spit blood she raised her hand in defense "Wait!" she shouted stopping Dimitris on his tracks "I have already lost most of my powers" she hissed in pain "I know I am going to die but the baby in me will be very strong and powerful if you let her live and protect her I will erected a magic circle in your territory nobody without your permission will enter" she pleaded.
