To El-Nom!

Chief Torvall stood looking out the window of his office as he sipped his tea when Maris Luhman lightly knocked on his door and said, "Sir, we are gathered out in front ready to go." "Thank you Miss Luhman, would you please send in Tony Llewelyn?" said the Chief still looking out the window. He buckled on his utility sash and stowed several loose devices into their respective holds when Anthony Llewelyn stepped to the door and cleared his throat. "Sir." said Tony. "Anthony! Come in. I wanted to make you the group leader for today's trip. I have a pin for your lapel to honor the occasion." said Chief as he walked up to Tony and attached the medal to his uniform. "There you go! Alright, let's head outside." said the Chief as he waived out the lights and grabbed his things off the desk.

Standing in the shadow of Onku Hall, Elam reached up and dialed in a little more darkness on his eye shades. Several distant, powerful sonic booms sounded and within moments a streaking yellow ship arched across the sky then circled around to the landing pad east of MOMAT. Then, what looked like a roiling storm rapidly came in from the North then stopped just over the distant mountains. While everyone was focused on that, a purple and white translation portal formed in the middle of the courtyard to the great thrill of everyone watching. His Grace, Rathanel Seraphanon stepped through with a huge smile and parade waves to the people. Lucien Timdeteris silently walked up behind Chief and whispered, "Where was my crowd?" Chief burst out a laugh and said, "We had a crowd for you, but you were late." Lucien chuckled at Chief then watched the Grand Seraph make his way toward them taking hugs and shaking hands and said, "Seraphim travel well." Chief nodded and said, "Indeed."

Rathanel Seraphanon made his way to where the group were gathered and held out his arms. "You ready?! Your smiles say, YES! Follow me!" said the effervescent and gracious leader of the Rantulia Order. The crowd parted as the group followed along like giddy school kids. Rathanel walked up and stood by the portal and granted them to go first. Elam pulled off his shades and tucked them into his pocket just as he stepped into the portal. With a momentary forward tug in his gut, he was standing in the docking bay of the Seraph II where a crew member motioned him to keep moving as more were coming through. Elam walked a distance he felt was safe then turned to watch his friends come aboard. One by one the ecstatic group assembled near Elam and began to huddle up and whisper how marvelous it all was that they were on the beautiful Seraph II and in the company again of his Grace. Once the mighty Seraphim stepped through the portal it quickly closed leaving only a rising puff of smoke. "This is your first time to do many things! Enjoy and remember my friends!" said the jovial Seraph. "This way to the guest accommodations." he said gesturing the group to come. "Do you not love the colors? Red, White and Shiny!" The Alphas giggled at his joyousness.

Once at the top, the group found themselves a seat and waited anxiously by looking about and feeling the decadent textures of velvet and silk. "It smells like strawberry cheesecake!" gleamed Rudy. "You have an excellent sense of smell. It is on the menu!" said Rathanel. The SHD began to pulse and undulate light in a back-and-forth manner, then the crack of sound like the approach of lightning. Then the Seraph II made a boom as it left from where they were into the infinite. With the streaking of stars systems flying by, Rathanel said, "Take a look at this." as he pulled down the lights to reveal the entirety of space around them, visible through the transparent hull of the observation deck. Gasps of wonder abound as it seemed they were floating unencumbered through space. "Is that not just incredible?!" exclaimed Rathanel. "Father in Paradise! It truly is!" replied Elianna Maxim as she clung tightly to the arms of her seat while looking around in awe. It was then the Seraph II came to the end of its first jump of 1000 light years. "We have two more of those to go before we enter El-Nom. We will take a break after the next one and have some strawberry cheesecake. Sound good?" The bobble heads nodded yes.
