Nora: The name sounds encouraging
Desdemona: There's someone on the inside who helps synths escape to freedom. Dozens of synths owe him their lives. We don't know his name, and we've never had a way to contact him, so we've given him the codename Patriot. If the plan works, and you get inside the institute, we need you to make contact
Nora: I'll do my best
Desdemona: Tom's encrypted a message for Patriot's eyes only. Once he sees it, he'll contact you. Until and after you make contact, you'll need to stay in the institute's good graces. You'll need to infiltrate them. Can you do that? Be our agent on the inside?
Nora: Bring it on

During this process, we were able to obtain the services of Dr. Madison Li. A noted mind in the fields of nuclear engineering
Nathan: How did you meet Dr. Li?
Nico: She worked alongside my parents in something called project purity. It's what brought clean fresh water to the capital wasteland, and a lot of the neighboring areas. And she helped us defeat the enclave
Maxson: Dr. Li's contributions to our cause were instrumental in maintaining order in the capital wasteland. After some time, she developed differences with the brotherhood and exiled herself to the commonwealth. We're fairly certain her intent was to make contact with the institute
Nathan: Why did you let her go?
Sarah: We didn't. She escaped on her own. She might be up there in age, but you'd be surprised how resourceful she can be. Your mission is simple. Once you're inside the institute, we want you to track down Li and convince her to return to the brotherhood
