First day, we're you ready? Not in the slightest.
After moving from the USA to Tokyo, it was a struggle, after all you had barely any knowledge of the language and customs. But after a couple months, you were ready to go to school.
So there you were, packing your school bag, looking at the winter uniform your parents had bought for you the previous night.
After recollecting your thoughts you thanked and said good byed your parents and left for your school.~time change to you walking~
Stepping on the soft white snow, you glanced over your shoulder to all the other school children walking with their friends in the cold. Jeez , you thought to yourself, it really was freezing. Carrying your school bag in one hand you feebly attempted to put on a pair of gloves, with no success. Giving up, you continued walking. Until you felt something ram into your back.
"OW What the hell?" You exclaimed in anger, now seated in the cold floor.
"Whoops! Sorry lady!" A boy around your age responded, his brown hair covering his face, his tie slightly undone and his jacket hanging loose, he was a very tall man and offered his hand to help you up.
"Sorry about that.. skateboarding in snow isn't as mystical as I thought.." he chuckled to himself.
"Maybe if you didn't have so much hair in your face you could see were you were going!" You shouted back, still hurt from the accident, only then noticing the skateboard.
"Look lady, I'm sorry! But Ill be late to class if I don't get a move on!" He bowed slightly and rode off on his skateboard.
We're all boys like this is Japan? You sighed and carried on your walk.~reaching school~
Patiently, you waited at the front desk for a timetable and an introduction. You were promised an easy day for your first day because it was the middle of the term.
"Hey nice to meet you! I'm generic reception name, how can I help?"
"Oh I'm new here and I'm looking to get my timetable and stuff"
"Oh wonderful just sit over there and I'll get your file"
And with that, you say in the singular chair, waiting patiently. Playing with your fingers you take this time to prepare yourself for the day ahead. Soon afterwards, the young boy from before comes into the reception with a bloody cheek.
"Hey miss, can I have something for this?" He asked without noticing you.
"Sure, but I'm kind of busy right now so ask that girl over there to help you with it" the receptionist said pointing at me. I sighed and went up to the boy. I couldn't believe I was actually doing this.. in my old school it was hard to make friends, therefore I wanted to make the best impression so I could get friends. Although.. the boy didn't seem to happy with this arrangement.
"Just hold still and I'll disinfect it." I muttered
"Did you do this while riding to school?"
"Yeah, also your new here right?" The boy replied, completely ignoring my question.
"Oh yeah, I moved here from the USA an-"
"You should join the manga club!" The boy exclaimed, accidentally knocking themselves into the antiseptic.
"I don't know.. are there lots of people there?" I replied, finishing up the dressing.
"No.. yeah! There is like medium people.." the boy answered not knowing how to respond.
"Okay I might come.. what's your name then?"
"Oh it's.. Sōta, Sōta Tanaka"
"Okay! See you around then!" You said cheerfully to Sōta, as he happily walked away, his fluffy brown hair still in his face, and a wide smile on his face..~~skip to after school~~
You walked out of the school looking down.. you checked the manga club times and it was every day apart from Monday. You thought to yourself about the past day. The kids were nice, the teachers were okay. But you couldn't help thinking of that boy. He just had something too him. You stepped in the soft snow and started your usual route home. Until..
"OWW!!" You explained in pain.
"What are you doing here!" The boy... Sōta exclaimed. Not even apologising.
"I was WALKING HOME!" You moaned while rubbing your back.
"Look look lady, I'm really sorry, but why are you walking alone down here? It's really not safe you know.." Sōta told, with a slight worried look on his face.
"W- what?" You mumbled.
"Yeah! I've seen so many people get kidnapped down here.. I mean.. I've Hurd.." he mumbled while picking up his skateboard from the ground.
"Look, let me walk you home okay?" Sōta asked in a desperate tone.
"NO! I don't even know you that well!" You explained.
"Oh well here.. I'm in class A, 3rd year," he said haphazardly "and president of the manga club!"
You signed and continued on your way with the boy following shortly behind you.
Today was going to be a long day...
