Knowing that you stand no chance against that many guards and will have better luck with just one, you turn and bolt back down the hall. You are quickly met with a single dragon that had been running towards you. You also hear the guards in the other room rushing forward to stop you. You devise a plan very quickly, and engage the dragon in front of you. They seem to be much stronger, but you've got speed and strategy on your side. You deflect their first attacks before receiving a blow to your face, leaving a large bleeding scratch. You hiss and stab them in the side with your tail, the Sandwing venom immediately rushing into the wound. The guards behind are very close, and with a quick peek you see that their weapons are pointed at you. Perfection. You dive under the dragon in front of you and shove them directly onto the incoming guards, or more specifically their weapons. You climb back over the now dead dragon and leap over the heads of the guards, rushing back into the room. In the confusion that followed, you have a few seconds to spare. There are still quite a few guards in the room, because not all of them had been in pursuit. You see your chance, and take it. Slipping in between the guards and avoiding jabs, you get out mostly unscathed. Mostly, because you did get stabbed once, in the side. You rush out of the exit, leaving noise and commotion behind you.
You run/fly up the last tunnel, which has a clear incline, and find yourself in a wide cave that's mostly open to the sky. It looks like the entrance. You don't hesitate to fly out into the sky and look around, trying to figure out where you are. There's mountains and trees everywhere, like you just came out into a valley. You dive down into the trees and watch as a group of dragons fan out from the entrance, watching the sky. They regroup shortly and talk for a while, then go back inside. You take this opportunity to leave the trees and fly alongside the mountains, finding a reasonably safe place on the far side of the valley with quite a bit of tree coverage. You take this time to relax and dress your wounds, as well as try to figure out what that was all about. It was a horrible experience, but also fascinating. You'd have to look into this more later.
After recovering, then hunting for some actual food, you return to your spot and light a fire, wanting the comfort of heat nearby. You know how to quickly put out a fire in the case that it draws attention, and you're willing to risk it for a small comfort of home. Plus, not all attention in this valley is bad, per say...
