First day of classes were always known as one of the chillest days. Meeting new people, your teachers for the semester, and getting to know the subjects you'll be taking.

Xyrene did encounter these, but there was already a small warning from her seniors about one professor. Coincidentally, his subject is her last period, her Media Law and Ethics professor.

Her seatmate on the right nudged her arm to get Xyrene's attention. She looks at her seatmate with her brows raising high. Her seatmate makes a hand motion, telling her to come closer. Xyrene then moves her head to the right. "You know, everyone in this school and even the other profs says he's weird." Xyrene faced them and asked why. "He would always say some weird and strange things. Something about how everything we see and hear are full of lies." says the seatmate.

Xyrene looks at the professor, who's standing at the very left corner of the room presenting a powerpoint presentation. "Full of lies? Huh..." She mumbles.

The school bell finally rings for the last time for the day, making everyone stand up with joy. "See you tomorrow stud-," the professor's words get cut by the students' loud voices. The professor sighs and packs his heavy laptop into his leather satchel. Xyrene and her classmates stands up and goes down to the stairs of the lecture hall. As she passes by their professor, she hears him mumbling. Words tumbling from his lips.

"Today's generation is just full of lies. Everything's messed up. Sana matapos na 'to."

Xyrene looks back at him after hearing what he just said. "Xyrene! Dali gutom na ako~" One of her classmates grabs her arm then pulls her with them. Xyrene looks back at her new friends and classmates and joins their conversation. However, what the professor said still runs in her mind.

A couple of days has passed and Xyrene already got the gist of her new school. She checks her space gray colored tablet to see what her next subject is before lunchtime, which was Media Law and Ethics again.

"Hmm... I wonder what'll he'll say this time," Xyrene thought.

She walks into the lecture hall and passes by the professor as usual. And again, she hears him mumbling as he focuses on his' laptop screen. "Tsk tsk tsk when will he stop? Mayor? More like a monster."

Xyrene suddenly becomes more curious. Stop? Mayor? Monster? So many thoughts and assumptions came into her head. She walks up going to her seat and begins talking to herself. "Mayor? Could it be the mayor of Pasig? Or the mayor of Pasay? Or Mayor Car-"

"Hoy Xyrene! Are you becoming like that weird professor?" Xyrene's bubble of thoughts gets cut by one of her male friends who joked at her. The others giggled and laughed at Xyrene's reaction. "Baka nahawa ka na from his weirdness." Another friend of hers teases her and makes weird hand gestures to her, fooling her more.

Xyrene rolls her eyes and sits down on her seat. Then class begins.
