"Ha... I got out late again. I hope this would be the last time I'd stay this late again. It's scary to be walking in this way home." I let out a long weary sigh.
I'm Rei, 23 and I'm a high school teacher. To say.. I'm nothing special, average salary, living in a small duplex, little social life, and kind of nerdy in secret.
I rubbed my eyes out of feeling tiredness, then yawned. Still walking on my way home on this street, while there's this dead silence surrounding, but for some reason my longing for bed to get home and to finally have a good rest is way stronger than being frightened. I won't have to wait any longer since it would just a few meters away from my duplex.
Just when I was about to turn to another street before reaching my home, an unknown wiggly figure was walking towards my direction and about to pass by me. I thought it would be something scary but when the street light hit her, I fixated my sight on that instead and to finally know that the figure's a young girl. She has this luggage, that doesn't seem bulky but it looks big because of her small figure.
All of a sudden, when she was almost close to me, she tripped on a rock and hit her face on the post. Which had me thinking, what was wrong with her. I went close to her to help her, and was about to reach on her when she straightened her body abruptly like nothing happened.
She then turned her head to me, her eyes looking drowsy and cheeks fully red. I only realized when I got a better look, she's wearing this one piece adorable dress, but on second thought, it's somehow makes it dangerous for her to wear this at around this time. She's showing some bare skin afterall.
"Werz hoter i wanna zleepshj."
Nice.
This person is obviously drunk and just now, I smelled that she reeks of alcohol and even though I'm in front of her, I can't really tell if she's actually aware of my existence and is asking me a question that I can't comprehend.
"I can't believe a youngster as you would be drinking. What's your name and can I have your parents number?"
"Huz yu.."
"Ha.. I can't understand a thing on what you're saying. It's dangerous around here, you can't be walking around like that at this time." I was about to reach for her arms when she moved away with an unbalanced movement of hers, which almost made her trip again but it was a good thing that she had stepped her other foot on time to prevent that.
"Zont touch me.. yu bhav person.."
And for some reason, I could understand that one a little.
"S-Seriously kids.."
I can't believe I'll be in this scenario just when I'm close to home. Anyways, as a teacher I must do my responsibility and take care of this kid.
I lowered my body a little since she really is small, probably something 4 feet and a half.
"Hey now, I'm not a bad person, actually I'm a teacher. I just want to help you get home. Can you tell me what's your name?"
"Ahehwdjkw yu a kidhznapper ar wu..??"
"I-I told you I'm not, I'm a teacher, so you don't have to worry..-"
When just I'm trying my best to assure her, despite of this tiredness.. this kid just..
"Bleuuuurgh!"
"E-Eh.."
The kid threw up.
-After a while-
"That's the first that someone puked on me."
I turned the heater off and reached for the bathrobe and a towel to wrap around me and my head, done from bathing. I stepped out of the bathroom feeling refreshed from all the stressors that happened today.
