Coming Home

Ben unlocks the door with his key, so glad to be home. Their home. Anticipating a sweet voice, a kiss, a hug from petite arms that still manage to take his breath away.

Instead he hears snoring.

Peeking around the corner, he finds the source. Curled up on the sofa, in his favorite spot, he sees her.

Her.

His girl, his life, his everything.

Her mouth hangs open, one arm slung over her head, her hair in a tangle.

She is drooling and she is loud.

She is also wrapped up in his old sweater, the one with the hole.

Drooling on his pillow, snatched from their bed, mismatched socks on her feet and snoring like an old man.

She is beautiful

Her

His Rey.

Ben slowly sets down his leather satchel, grabbing his phone from his coat pocket. He quickly snaps a picture, saving it to pull up on his bad days at work. It will make him smile. Show him why he works so hard. Remind him of why he lives, what his sole purpose is.

To take care of her. To provide her with all she's missed out on.

Although, it didn't seem to matter how many beautiful clothes he bought for Rey.

She just wants to wear that damn sweater.

He'd even gifted her with the most luxurious socks he could find.

She only wears his socks, mismatched and stretched out.

Is that a hole in the toe?

Sliding off his jacket, he loosens and removes his tie as he approaches her carefully. Kicking off his leather shoes, he sits slowly down at her feet, lifting them into his lap.

Today has been one of those days, exhausting and pointless. It was still better than working for Snoke, but as his dad had always told him, work is called work for a reason.

Ben had looked at his phone gallery several times that day. Pictures of his wife doing the most mundane things. Watering her plants, reading a book, reaching for her mug on a shelf in the kitchen.

Well, that picture was his favorite for several reasons. He'd purposely put it on the top shelf, curious about something.

As he stared at the picture, more specifically, as he stared at his wife's ass in the picture, he smiled.

He just knew she wasn't wearing panties. Hence the reason he put the mug there. So she'd have to stand on tiptoes and reach high up.

Her perfect ass cheeks were exposed under her tiny shorts. He grinned, suspicions confirmed and snapped a picture.

Yeah, that picture helped his day improve.

Ben sat, rubbing his wife's feet, listening to her snore and watching her drool.

He was a lucky bastard.

He knew it.

Leaning over, Ben laid his head on Rey's hip and closed his eyes, breathing in her scent. Right before dozing off, her fingers sunk into his hair and he heard her sigh.

Even in her sleep, she was taking care of him.

Yes, he thought to himself, a lucky bastard indeed.

Ben Solo had one last thought before succumbing to a blissful nap with his wife at the end of a long day.

It finally fells good to come home.
