I just got out of the shower about half an hour ago and changed into something comfortable. I put on a gray crop top with some white sweatpants. I got home about an hour ago but got busy with something, so I'm just now getting the chance to actually relax, which won't be for long since I have to tutor this evening.

Aaron hasn't called or texted me which I'm very grateful for because I just can't deal with him right now. As for Andre and Christina, I've gotten a few texts from them.

Anyways, I left my room and went downstairs to get something to drink and fix myself a light snack. Raven and them aren't home and won't be until late so I may or may not cook dinner. I walked into the kitchen and over to the fridge as I looked through it for something to eat and drink. I grabbed some leftover fish from the other night and a can of cherry coke, my favorite.

I heated up the fish and while I waited for it I went into the livingroom and turned on the TV and went to my favorite animal show so I could watch it.

*Knock Knock*

As I picked up the remote to work the TV, there was a light knock on the door. I walked over to the door, unlocking and opening it as I came face to face with Derrick. He smiled at me as he saw that I was the one to open the door. I smiled back as I stepped aside to let him in and closed and locked the door behind him.

"Sorry if I'm a little early. I have something going on later and I didn't want to cancel so I decided to come a few minutes early."

"It's fine. My siblings aren't here so we have the house to ourselves."

"Oh ok."

"You can put your stuff down on the couch and I'll get some snacks and a drink for you."

He nodded his head as he walked over to the couch placing his stuff down while I walked back into the kitchen and grabbed him a drink. I walked back over to the living room and handed him the drink as I took a seat next to him.

"Are you ready to get started?"

"Uh, actually I was wondering if we could talk about earlier first."

"Oh, um what about it?"

Derrick bit his lower lip as he slightly turned to face me and sighed, "I hope you don't mind me asking this but, the guy from earlier, who was he?"

"Oh him, ah he's a friend of mine."

"Really? Cause it kind of looked like you were uncomfortable around him."

"Yeah, he likes me and um we actually had an argument earlier so him seeing what happened between us kind of made us both uneasy I guess."

"Wait, are y'all two a thing?"

"No, no, not at all. There isn't anything between me and him. He just likes me and I guess you could say that he gets slightly possessive."

"Oh ok."

"Is that all?"

"No, actually I wanted to circle back to my question from earlier, about if you'll allow me to get to know you. The real you."

Ugh! Why do we gotta go back to that? Wasn't kissing me enough? I don't want to have this conversation. I mean from the kiss we shared earlier I could tell that he was somewhat genuine but still.

"No." Was all I said as I stood up from the couch and went into the kitchen.

I still have my fish heating up in the oven as I need to check on it. Plus I just wanted to get away from having that conversation again. I mean yeah I enjoyed the kiss but I just didn't get enough from it. And in all honesty, I just am not dealing with that right now.

"Winter?" Derrick called my name as he entered the kitchen.

I was in the middle of taking the pan of fish out of the oven and placing it on the stove since it was done. I didn't answer Derrick at all, I didn't even look at him. Well, not until he lightly grabbed my arm and made me look at him.

"Look, Derrick there's things about my past that I don't want anyone to know ok. That's why I won't tell you."

"I'm not asking for your back story."

"But you want to know the real me, right?"

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean-" Derrick started but I cut him off mid sentence.

"Derrick, my past is the real me."

"No, the real you is whatever you want it to be. It doesn't have to-" I cut him off once again.

"Well then you know the real me."

"You being a club owner and playgirl isn't the real you that I'm talking about. I mean tell me about you n-"

"You're not making sense Derrick. The real me without the past is playgirl me and real me with the past is-"

I was cut mid-sentence by Derrick kissing me. As much as I wanted to pull back I didn't but after a few seconds he did and looked me in the eye as he spoke.

"First, stop cutting me off and let me speak. Second, calm down."

"Ok."

"I'm not asking for your life story or for an explanation on why you've become who you are. I want to know the real you but just a little deeper than the surface but not so far down that you get uncomfortable. I just want to know you. Not what people tell me about in regards to you. Not the playgirl you either. Just plain, beautiful, smart Winter."

I sighed as I crossed my arms and looked down while biting my lip. I mean I guess he has a point. There is a side of me people don't really see cause they're so focused on the money and playgirl side of me. I guess it really wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. I nodded my head as I spoke,

"Ok, I can do that."

"Tomorrow, will you let me take you out for a nice dinner and we can talk then?"

I just nodded my head in response as he sighed. After that we went back to the livingroom and we studied for about an hour before he had to get back home. I decided to go to bed early because I was bored and tired and had a lot on my mind.

Ima be real for a moment and say that if he is trying to get me to be his girl for real, then he's in for a rude awakening. Me and real relationships don't get along well and I'm just not ready for the commitment yet. But I guess it won't hurt to see where this goes and what happens.
