Shouto fiddled with his red hair. The side that was red anyway. His hair was getting long and hung into his eyes. Sometimes he cared, others he didn't. Like right now it was both. He hated the hair prickling his eyes, but he was self-conscious about the burn that stood pink and red across his left side. He dragged the long red strands over it and then sighed in frustration.

He pushed his fingers through his hair and forced it all back, only for it to fall limply back into his face again. I need a haircut. He sighed and fogged up the glass. He felt the water drip from his hair down his shoulders and sulked as he walked to the bedroom.

"What the fuck, man! I told you to cover up when you're done showering." an angry yell exploded from the room. Shouto ignored it and grabbed a t-shirt from his closet, then some boxers. He pulled those on under the towel that wrapped around his waist.

"You weren't here when I went in there," Shouto said patiently, " and I was covered from my waist down, so shut up Katsuki." He fought the urge to roll his eyes. He dragged the towel across his back to dry the water that dripped down his back before he pulled the t-shirt on with one arm. He had to remember to carry clothes into the bathroom now that Denki invited his friends over more often.

"Fuck you, man. I don't want to see you naked." Katsuki said and narrowed his red eyes. "I'm here to help you fucking study and you're taking forever in the bathroom."

"You're not here to help me study, you're here to help Denki." Shouto said. This time he turned to stare at Katsuki and very obviously rolled his eyes. Denki popped his hand up in a semi-wave at Shouto, his face had gone pink, his blond hair poked up from behind a book he used to hide his face. He sank as far into his bed as he could and peered at Katsuki and Shouto, waiting for them to start a fight.

Shouto thought that to live in the dorms and to have to share a room with someone would be difficult. He didn't like to share spaces, he didn't know that he could make friends, and he had never tried. He was 20 years old and felt increasingly disappointed in himself for not having a job and living off-campus. It was Winter now, but Shouto felt the cold creeping in and when it sounded weird to others, he found a weird comfort in the cold. This was his second Winter here. In the same place, lost without a major, no direction in general.

Denki wasn't the smartest roommate. But he was a fun guy and Shouto found himself surprised when he enjoyed his company. Denki wasn't around a whole lot though, and when he was, it was often with Katsuki and Kirishima. Kirishima was a red-headed, loud guy. Now that it was exam time, the end of their fourth semester at the University, Katsuki, Denki, and Kirishima routinely occupied their shared space. He didn't mind, he would leave most of the time and study in the quietness of the library.

Shouto had not selected a major yet, simply from his lack of attachment to any of the courses offered. He didn't know what he liked or disliked but found himself with weather and geography courses more often than not; the subjects usually revolved around those anyway. His mind twisted with the thought, he couldn't fight the tiny voice inside his head that screamed "BORING!" at him.

Denki studied electrical engineering, Katsuki never shut up about explosives. Kirishima liked rocks. Kirishima was the only one that Shouto saw in any of his classes.

Shouto was particularly aware of Katsuki's eyes on his back when he dragged the t-shirt on before. It made him want to dash out of the room immediately, but he fought that urge and instead rolled his eyes at Katsuki when he said something about the bathroom. His ash-blond hair was unruly as usual. His expression was angry, as usual. Shouto's stomach fluttered whenever he saw Katsuki glare at him.
