⤷ SEVENTEEN; the truth destroys ⤶
TRUTH BE TOLD it wasn't surprising that no one believed a word that left Ziggy's mouth, if I weren't in the situation I was in right now I would have rolled my eyes and scoffed. As our eyes locked once she had finished I felt a tingling sadness.
"My sister. She sacrificed herself for nothing." Ziggy closes her book, looking down at her book. "I told everyone the story of how she died but no one would believe me."
"And Nick?" At Deena's question my heart begins to thump. I already knew what he would have done especially since he was now the sheriff.
"I thought he was different. I thought he would believe me." Shaking her head she as she speaks. "But even if I was his friend, Nick had a destiny in this town and you don't become sheriff talking about ghost stories."
He knew this entire time and he didn't care that his friend was seen as crazy as long as he got what he wanted.
"I couldn't see him again not after that." A few tears drip onto the closed book. "The Witch. The towns curse. For one night Cindy believed that there was a way to end it. That's why I thought there was too." Ziggy explained to us, a few tears on her cheeks.
"Now I know. There is no end."
"But what about Brit, I mean would she have helped you." I asked her with hopeful eyes. I mean surely especially after her girlfriend died in her arms.
"Brit hated me but once Eli died, she became a different person. More closed off." She explained that even if she wanted to that Brits words wouldn't have done anything. She was basically oblivious to it all.
"Besides a few days after Eli funeral, she left town. She packed up and just left, leaving everyone but her brother went with her. Haven't seen her since." Ziggy told us with a frown. "She was in love with Eli, I don't blame her."
A loud clock went off scaring us making us all jump up, I wince when jj bangs my side accidently.
Ziggy shuts all the alarms off, turning back to us. "Like I said your best chance is to leave this town and never look back and hope a bus doesn't hit you in the way out."
"We found the body." JJ tells her making her face turn into a deeper frown. "Off of highway 5 in the woods between shadyside."
"Not possible." We all shake our heads disagreeing with her. It was still in that tacky football jacket.
"It could be anyone."
"Why do you think our friends died. For the same reason they killed Alice, your sister."
"Eli." I say looking at her with a frown. It seemed like the only expression I knew nowadays.
"The killers came after us because we found something they didn't want us to find."
"We wish that we never did but we found it. What you were looking for in 78'. " Ri says holding onto Jjs hand.
"We found Sarah Fier. Please nurse Lane was right." I tell her in a convincing tone, at least I hope it was. "We can end the curse by uniting the hand with the body. We know where the body is so all we need is the hand."
She stares into my brown eyes before sighing in defeat "Its under her hanging tree." Rushing to the car with Josh and Deena, a frown on my face as I turn to my other friends.
"You guys should stay here with Ziggy." I say hugging them tightly. "Watch out for Sammy."
"But you're hurt." I shake my head at them before falsely smiling. "The bleeding stopped and it doesn't hurt anymore." It was true the bleeding was and the pain was nothing I couldn't handle.
The journey to the mall was daunting, uneasiness filling my mind as I sat in the back of my car. My thoughts going back to Eloise Henderson, the girl who held the same face as me. As we broke into the mall, we stood beneath her tree with shaky breath before digging into the dirt.
There it was ━ SARAH FIERS LOST HAND.

SILENCE OVERTOOK the friends who watched uneasy as Ziggy got off the phone with Nick Goode, as she placed the phone back on its receiver she finally noticed the expressions on their faces.
"What?" She asks in confusion. JJ simply winces as he shakes his head at the woman. "See about that...." He begins with a frown.
"The sheriff and our best friend are kind of, well we're kind of dating." Ziggy looks at the two in shock and slight disgust. "Actually she dumped him a couple of hours ago."
"What in the actual hell!" Ziggy mutters angrily. How dare he go and fall for some naive girl who held the same face as she dead best friend. "She's like seventeen." The two nod at her disgust with similar expressions.
"Ah shit ━ He's on his way right now." Ziggy tells them with a huff as she fell back onto the couch, ignoring the growls of the teenage girl in the other room.
"Shit." The teens say in unison. Josie wasn't going to be pleased, but you never know she could be. She wouldn't be though.
━━ THE CAR JOLTED TO A HARSH BREAK as they finally made it to the woods, Josies face slamming into the back seat of the car. Groaning as she held her face "Yup should've worn my seat belt." She muttered as she goes to exit her car.
"Stay in the car and lock the doors." Deena says slamming the door shut on her. "You're injured and Josh I'm older than you, you have to listen to me." Her nose begins to bleed but she ignores it as she smiles at them nervously.
Rushing towards the woods with Sarah fiers hand and a torch, the Johnson girl can't help but swear out of anxiousness. "Fucking stupid. You are stupid Deena...so stupid." She mutters to herself.
A small locking sound is hear as Josie slowly locks the back doors, a frown on her face. "I still don't understand why I'm involved." Josie says to Josh who nods in agreement. "I mean why do I look Eli. I mean exactly like her."
"I know you could've been her twin." Josie has a sudden expression of realisation. "Hey Josh, do you think that because I looked like Eloise that was why Nick fell for me?"
His silence was all she needed, leaning back with a tear falling from her eye. Wiping it quickly as he turned to talk to her.
As they talk amongst theirselves, Deena digs Sarah's bones. Her nose begins to bleed again making her wipe it as she places the hand bone onto the body. As she does this, she is transported into a memory that was Sarah fiers.
