PROLOGUE:

2030

I feel the nurse wiping my sweat as I perform my last surgery for today. I tied the thread together and breathed deeply as we're almost done.

"Cut. . ."

After my nurse cut the tied thread, I breathed deeply, smiling as I felt relief washing over my entire body.

"Good job everyone, can you finish up here?" I asked my assistant as she nodded and smiled at me.

"Leave this to us doc, you should go ahead . . . . ."

"No can do. . . .  I'll wash up first but I'll watch over you so better do it right okay?"

"Yes doc. You should go now, you're going to be Mrs. Mendez today."

"Okay! I'll leave this to you then."

"Don't be late at my wedding, okay?"

I say as I leave the operation room.

I wash my hands outside and watch them close up our patient.

. . . . . . . . .

I tilt my head in happiness as I see my father leaning over his jeep with a content smile. He waved at me as I ran to him and hugged him.
