"There you go Mr. Cluri.'' I handed the wierd guy his 5th cup of wine of today. I hope. He took the cup happily, already drunk, and hummed a happy tune. Mr. Cluri has been coming here everday, twice a day, for a whole year now. Everytime he does, he always order wine, and wine only. He always sits in the same spot near the door. He's around 50 or 60, and I really don't think he should be drinking this much. Everytime he comes, he seems healthier and healthier. My mom says just let his family have an intervention and deal with him. That he's none of our business. I guess my mom was right, because once I asked if he had enough, he stared at me angrily unitl I put the cup down.

After growing up in this restaurant for 10 years, ever since I was 6, you'd think that would scare me.

I see weird things all the time from cross dressers, to beared ladies. I honestly don't know where they come from. This restaurant isn't really big. After all these years, the restaurant has only been painted once, and that's because the bleu was peeling. Now it's red, because my mom says it will livein up the place. I believed that as much as her dumb karaoke idea. She built in a karaoke bar last year, in hopes of bringing in more customers. Ever since the first three nights, of no one showing up, she just gave up. Now it's used for an extra storage place.

Booths were just thrown everywhere, only leaving an isle for the door, and the door that leads to the kitchen. This restaurant could hold about 30 people. When I tell some people Im a waitress, they usually think in a big restaurant. Nope, just a little one, sitting on the corner across from our school.

Alot of the kids from school come here everyday before or after practices. When they do, they ususally order the same. Pizza, burger, ice cream, or chilli cheese fries. The stupid girls that's only worried about looking good orders chicken strips or just ice cream. Then, those are the kids who comes here, and just waits for their rides to come and get them because the school kicks them out, and it'll be to cold to stand outside.

It's actually fun having a job here. It's fun to talk to my friends when im on break, but other times it's not. Every once in a while, a reject that just wants attention would just come up and act like a dumb fuck. Those are the ones you just have to ignore.

My friends Bree and Jordan come up here everyday before they're basketball practices. Me, being the good friend I am, only allows theme to have a salad and a water. Maybe a hotpocket if they. want. I mean, they are like THE best girls on the team, and what good will they do if they're crawling for the ball? They got me to try out, and I only made Junior Varsity.

They told me that it was okay, and I'll do better. Of course, I didn't believe them. So I quit, and used the restaurant as my excuse for quitting.

I went to the back to see if my mom needed any help. "Thanks dear, but im fine. I just have to look over these bills and checks for the end of the week.'' Her brown curly hair was pulled up into a bun at the top of her head. Her black button up was covered up by an apron, and her black slacks draped over her boots, even as she sat. Her office was very small, but productive. It was the same color as the restaurant. You would expect her to look or be stressed, but she' s so far from it. She's good with dealing with pressure. I nodded, and went over to Ms. Licke, Our top chef. She looked veryweird. Her and Mr. Cluri had to be the same height. About 5''4, 5''3. Her hair was like a thick blanket of snow, but it stopped at her ears. Her eyes were long almond shaped, and her lips were so thin, but wide, you'd think she didn't have any. Her cheeks were dotted with deep red freckles, and her eyes were a shiny green. Her skin was pale, and sometimes, if it weren't for her eyes, I'd think she was albino.

When I watch her for a long while, it's like her skin has very light bleu veins covering her.

"Hello there dearie.'' she greeted me. "Hey, anything you need help with?" I asked. Her thick scottish accent made her seem mysterious. I would assume scottish people to be less pale, and maybe red hair.
