A million shimmering snowflakes surround her. They fill her with delight, as she continues to endure the chilly gusts of wind approaching her way. The combined mix of the crispy air, icy wind and the faintest glows of street lights force her eyes shut every few seconds. Adjusting her beanie, clutching desperately onto her coat, she struggles to keep her eyes open.

The chill is starting to become overwhelming.

There really is nothing better than winter.

"(Y/N)! Hurry up! We're going to miss it!" She hears the echo of a voice calling out to her, pointing out her struggles and lack of speed.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming!" She retorts, acknowledging what was said.

She'd never miss out on this important event of the year. Every year she'd look forward to this exact moment. And this year she could finally share it with somebody else.

"Thoma, wait for me!" She calls out to him, urging him to slow down.

He almost ignores her. Almost. If it weren't for his undeniable chivalry and worry, he'd definitely leave her behind.

She slugs up to his sturdy figure, latching onto his arm. Both his hands were in his pockets, and she didn't care that this made them look as if they're romantically involved with one another. In fact, she quite enjoyed this situation.

"We'll go faster if you hold me with you." She makes up a terrible excuse, just to keep holding his arm.

Her heart is filled with nothing but joy. She doesn't care whether he takes this the wrong way or not, if anything, she'd prefer him to perceive this gesture as romantic. She wants to latch onto him forever, whether he loves her back or not.

His expression melts into a warm smile, he looks at her with caring eyes, hoping she'll never let go of him. He loves her just as much as she does, if not more. Funnily enough, both of them are as dense as the other, and neither of them care, so long as they stay together.

The shared feelings of comfort, joy and happiness mix together in their hearts. As she tightens her grip, they begin pushing through the chilly wind.

After an excruciatingly long stroll, they arrive at their destination...

The firework site.

(Y/N) slowly opens her eyes. This was almost a test of trust, as her eyes had been closed shut the entire time, letting her mind focus only on Thoma's body heat, warming up the side of her own figure.

A thousand dazzling lights surround her and fill her heart with magic.

There really is nothing better than winter.

She admires the lights all around her, loud booms echoing through the sky. Her eyes light up at the sight, at the moment she's currently living in.
