Fight Night - Marry Red

"Yes Captain!"

Abigail tapped on my shoulder and calmly said.

"Drink's on me tonight newbie."

"The only rules are don't kill anyone and be back by sundown!"

"Yep!"

We keep chatting as we walk off the ship into the small town. It was a small town but full of life kids playing in the streets drunken men dancing with joy. I even smiled at the towns joy. Abigail took me to a small bar with not many people.

"So what do you think of Le Rosea Velenosa?"

"Honestly i like it on the ship and Janté he's having a blast."

"Captain is great with kids i bet he's reading the kid a story. About our adventures i wonder what he's reading him. Perhaps the story of the flying statue or the underwater dessert maybe about how he single handed. Took down a giant sea monster with tentacles big enough to drag the whole ship to the bottom of the sea."

"You really admire Captain Rose don't you."

She had blushed at this point a light pink and turned her head away taking a big chug of her rum. Then shook her head and turned back to me with a answer.

"Yea i do all the Roses do he saved us all the roses on the ship were victims."

"Victims how you're all tough as nails?"

"We weren't always badass you know in fact i used to be a housewife to a powerful man."

I had noticed Abigail's smile had faded and she had drunk more each moment she spoke. So i ordered us more rum for her and i out of the corner of my eye. I caught a man staring at us I shrugged it off as its normal for men to stare at me.

"Captain Rose was actually my neighbour he overheard my husband beat me. It was the first night Rose moved in he immediately broke down our door and stopped my husband. They got into a fist fight and Rose got hit in the jaw he spit blood into his eyes. Then my husband started having a seizure and foaming at the mouth he had died to poison."

"So Rose blood is a powerful poison?"

"Why do you think the ship is called Le Rosea Velenosa or in English The Poison Rose."

"That makes sense..."

"Heyyyy ladies -Hic- what do you say about going back to my cabin -Hic-"

We both turned back as the drunk man approached us. We stood up and he got extremely close then grabbed Abigail's ass and mine. We both punched him in the face knocking him back. He tripped into another table knocking another mans beer over onto his lap. In a few seconds the whole bar was in a fury. A man ran towards me i smirked and put my fists up as he got closer he threw a punch. I ducked under it and threw a counter attack straight to his stomach he stumbled back he was tougher then i thought i ran towards him. I jumped up and drop kicked him into a table i got up and smiled. Then glanced over at Abigail who was dealing with two men. She looked towards me and said.

"Catch!"

I looked over and punched the guy she threw at me. I look back up and she quickly dealt with the last man with ease. I smile at her and we proceeded to take the coin pouches of all the men who attacked us. We looked at the time and we left to head back to the ship.

"I needed some action like that."

"It was quite fun wasn't it newbie, you fight extremely well."

"It was and thanks."

"Hope your not too tired you still got fight night to deal with."

"I'm ready for whatever fight night throws at me."

"Don't get cocky a lot of the roses are trained in hand to hand combat."

"Well I'm not fighting anyway so it should be fine."

As we walked closer to the ship i could hear cheers from the shore. As we walked closer all the Roses were gathered on the main deck already. We could see the captain at the helm watching the fight. As we got onto the ship i went to watch in the crowed as Abigail joined the captain. The two girls in the middle of the crowd were fighting like there life depended on it. They grabbed each other and fell to the deck. The red head was on the bottom with her hands up she shouted "Rosea!" And the brunette on top froze and got up.

"I win!"

"Jane won this fight that means whatever argument you too had is now settled that's that. Next on the grudge list is... Gwen & Marry."

"Wait when did?"

"The two of you enter the ring I'll explain the rules for people who haven't done fight night before."

I bit my lip not knowing i was fighting tonight but regardless. I entered the ring and waited for the rules.

"The rules are simple you fight fairly no eye gouging no cheep shots. You fight until your opponent is out cold or says Rosea. Understand you two?"

"Yes captain"

"You know Gwen I didn't mean to spill the bucket of water on your leg."

"I don't care new girl I'm still going to make you pay for it"

"Fine let's do this"

I put my hands up in fists ready to fight once the captain said go. I was actually kinda wanting to kick this girls ass because she was such a jerk.

"Go!"

She stepped towards me and tried to step on my foot to lock me in place. I quickly moved my foot then went for a upper cut with my right hand. It hit her perfectly she fell back out cold i was shocked with myself.

"Well damn."

"The victory goes to the new recruit Marry! That's all the fights for tonight get some rest we sail tomorrow!"

I smiled proud of myself as i went down to my bunk and laid down. Abigail followed shortly after.

"Nice debut out there Marry sleep well"

"Thanks sleep well Abigail."
