Prologue

The sound of the howling wind seemed to echo in the car as the large raindrops fell on the windscreen. It had been raining heavily all day and nonstop at that. My mum and dad were having there own conversation up the front of the car with the occasional laugh. My sister was in the back seat next to me poking my arm continuously. Every so often the car would hit those one of those puddles of water in the middle of the road causing us to be pulled off the road a little bit every time.

The sun was just setting making it more dangerous to be driving in the heavy rain. I can't remember where we were going but it was important we made it there by morning and this weather was making it impossible to do so. The rain pelted down harder on the car making it impossible to see even 5ft in front of you. My dad cursed and slammed the brakes on causing the car to slide along the wet bitumen and fish tail, I grabbed my sister and held her for dear life as the car slide off the side of the road and into an embankment, letting the darkness consume me.
