There's no light at the end of the tunnel

Ever since you were a child you'd always dream of becoming an adult and doing all the things you never were allowed to do. Eating chocolate ice cream in bed while watching a three hour long movie at night on a weekday. Playing video games all night long without anyone telling you to go to bed.

Thing is, it's not really like that. It's not like a few minutes into your adulthood you are suddenly an adult, it takes years before you realize that you are now more bound than you've ever been before. That you've trapped yourself with no apparent escape route. Money is one of the key factors of life, without it there really is no way to live happily. And as you have more things on your plate, there seems to be less space for yourself and work. It all piles up until a point where it all seems to have been pushed so far to the side that you don't notice it anymore. You've been living in it, without really thinking about it.
