I looked out the classroom window to the loads of rain pouring down. Two raindrops were falling down the window and I watched them race to the bottom before I was interupted.
"Ariana Grande. Is there anything you aren't understanding in the class at the moment?" Mrs. Jefferson sternly says.
"No ma'am. Sorry, I-I was distracted by uh-h" I stuttered.
"The window Miss Grande?" Mrs. Jefferson said.
"Yeah" I looked down.
"Alright well start paying attention. Now as I was saying class-" and I'm off to the rain again.
I don't really have a lot of friends, actually no friends, so I like to think everything is my friend. And yes, rain is sadly one of my friends is a raindrop. It's possible.
The bell rang and I left school. Everyday was the same routine. Wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, walk home to an empty house, sit and do nothing, write and sing music, eat dinner at a late time, and go to bed. My mom was rarely home and my dad, who knows where he is. Frankie's out of the house and in New York while we're over on the other side of the country in LA. I know you'd think I'd have it all just because I'm a celebrity, but in all realness, I don't. I'm a no life. A loser. Nothing but a disappointment to my parents, teachers, old friends, managers, and classmates.
But, today was special. It was raining, and I can only write good songs with meaning on rainy days.
I walked into my street of mansions and into my huge brick house. As usual, empty, dark, quiet, and lonely. If you were lucky enough to hear anything, you'd hear the sounds of the neighbors dogs. I sat around for a little bit and relaxed in silence, then decided to go down to my basement in my mini recording area and write some song lyrics.
I got comfortable in my pink beanbag and grabbed my song journal, then began to write.
I finished a short verse and began singing and recording myself.
"Now you finally tell me how you feel. Guess your ask just came a little too late. All the drama boy it's overkill so don't be mad at me cause you've been replaced know your place." I sang.
"You sound great." I hear a voice say.
I quickly spun around, startled, and saw my neighbor, Chris Parker.
"Christopher James Parker. What on earth are you doing here? How the hell did you get in here? Get out of my house!" I exclaimed annoyingly.
"Woah woah no harm Ari-" he said with his hands up. Ugh, this is why I wish I had a normal life. I wouldn't have to worry about other popstars breaking into my house.
Note my sarcasm.
"Don't call me that" I sighed as I gathered up all my papers and crap off the piano.
"Cmon Ari. Babe, you know you love me." Chris chuckled as he smirked.
"Again, don't call me that. I'm not your 'babe'. I haven't even talked to you in a billion years. Seriously, I need you to get out of my house." I said. Okay that was a lie. I saw him an hour ago. But still. I was extremely aggravated.
Completely ignoring the last part of my demands, Chris said "I wonder if I was a dinosaur when we last saw each other". Ugh. SOO immature.
(A/N sorry I make bad jokes do you get it a billion years ago and dinosaurs lol I'm not funny bye)
"Apparently you ignored the last part of my comment." I rolled my eyes.
"What last past?" Chris grinned.
"That part where you leave my house. It's time for that part."
"Ari. Girl. It's not like I'm a stranger or something." Chris said. I acted like I didn't hear him, so he continued "I wasn't kidding though".
"About what you staying in my house because if that was the case, I'd be glad for you to be kidding." I give a fake laugh.
"No. I was meaning the song. It really did sound great." he said looking into my eyes.
I couldn't help but gaze into them. Maybe I was aggravated and angry with him, but I'm not gonna lie, he was cute. He cleared his throat to catch my attention again.
"Oh uh th-th-thanks." I blushed.
"What's it for?" Chris asked, walking over to me and sitting on the piano bench only inches from me.
"Oh it's just a little something I've been working on. I got a big record deal for an album. It's called Yours Truly. So yeah, I've been writing some songs for that lately." I explained.
"Wow that's great news. Awesome. Can I hear the whole song?" He asked.
"Sure. But on one condition. Two conditions actually. One, you tell me why you're in my house and two, you can't tell anyone about the album." I said.
"I was just walking into my house and heard music so I decided to come listen." Chris shrugged.
"Wow Christopher James. So you like walking into people's houses all the time?" I laugh. Besides the fact I was beyond annoyed, this was actually the first time I've had a nice conversation and actually felt happy.
"Just yours." he smirked.
"Okay whatever I'll just sing the song."
I sang "You'll Never Know" to Chris and then he said goodbye.
"See ya around Grande." he said and walked out.
