Chapter 6

                                                            *Wesley's P.O.V*

Chloe started coughing as I handed her over to the paramedics. I said a quick prayer that she would be okay and then walked over to Drew. "Thanks for helping me" I said. "I guess it was a natural reflex to go and help you. I didn't want her to drown" said Drew with a worried look on his face. "Drew, come here!" shouted Marisa. The paramedics needed to talk to someone that was 19 or older. We both walked over, the paramedics said Chloe was okay, but she needed to rest. She isn't allowed to surf or do anything extreme for 8 days. Chloe wasn't fully alert, they said that she just got really shocked, but she'll be fine in an hour or so. The paramedics did some more tests, just to be safe. I went to go change out of my swimming trunks, but when I came back, she was gone. The boys told me that Anna and Marisa took her home. Keaton knew I was feeling bad, so he gave me a hug. "It's not your fault, it could have happened to anybody" he said, trying to comfort me. "But it didn't, and none of this would have happened if I had made sure she was 100% ready" I said. I feel sick in my stomach. "Let's just go home guys" said Drew. We grabbed our stuff and went home. The moment I got inside the house, I ran to my room,pulled out my phone and started texting Chloe.

Wesley: "Chloe r u ok?"

Chloe: "Yeah, my head still hurts a little bit, but that's it. Thank you SO much for saving me. I'm so grateful to hv u in my life."

Wesley: " :( I hope u feel better. None of this would hv happened if I had made sure that u were 100% ready. I'm such an idiot. I feel like such a horrible person. It should hv been me out there. I'm sorry!"

Chloe: "Don't say that! Now ur gonna make me feel sad. You were just being a good instructor, trust me, even if I was 100% ready, I still would hv fallen off! But the fact that you came to save me........................ words can describe what that means to me! You r truly my hero!!! <3"

Wesley: "Of course I would save u! What kind of idiot would let their friend drown?"

Chloe: "Can I trust you?"

Wesley: "Yes, of course, you can tell me anything!"

Chloe: "Well, I haven't told anyone about it. The only person that knows is Anna, cuz she's a part of it. When I was 11, I went to the wave pool with my best friend, his name was Michael, he's Anna's brother. I used to hang out with ppl that were a really bed influence on me. Anyways, I used to be terried of water, and I obviously didn't kw how to swim. Michael wanted me to face my fear, so Anna, Michael and I went to their uncle's waterpark. We snuck inside when it was closed. When we walked in, a group of Michael's "bad" friends were there. I didn't really kw them, I've seen them a few times at Michael's house but that's it. Anna, Michael and I got into the water, and his friends turned on the waves while I was in the deep area. I was okay until a wave scared me and I got pulled under the water. I managed to grab the wall and get out. Michael and his friends started laughing, I told them it wasn't funny and they pushed me into the deep end. The same thing happend to me in the pool as the beach. I started to drown and couldn't breathe cuz waves kept hitting me. Michael walked away with his friends, but Anna jumped in to save me.She managed to get me out even though she couldn't swim either. Nobody knows about it except you and Anna. My parents don't even know. They just thought that I was terrified of water, so they sent me for swimming classes."

Wesley: "Oh............ I'm sorry to hear that. Don't worry, I would never do something like that to u! Even if we got in a fight."

Chloe: "I know. It's kinda weird though, cuz we just met 4 days ago, but yet I really feel like I can trust you. It's like we were meant to be friends."

Wesley: "Ya, weird.................. So, do u still talk to Michael?"

Chloe: "Hell no! Anna's parents divorced, so Michael lives with his dad and Anna lives with her mom. But they both moved on. Anna's mom remarried to a really nice man. He's a great husband to Anna's mom, and a really good dad to Anna."

Wesley: "Sorry for asking.................... I wish I could be like that one day."

Chloe: " It's okay. I'm sure you will be a great husband and an amazing dad!"

Wesley: "I have to tell you something................."

Wesley: "Hello?"

It's been 30 minutes! Where did she go?!!! Oh no! What if she knows what I'm gonna tell her. She probably doesn't want to reply because she doesn't like me back. What if something happened to her!!!!!!! I hope she's okay!
