Flashing lighted the path before me, then total darkness took over once again.

Tripping over downed limbs and kicked up rocks. Flash my blood covered hands, fingers covered in the sticky red substance.

Heaving for breath I stump forward. Trees grasping for my face and cloths. Flash large holes tore through my shirt into my bloody side.

One hand tightly press to my side. Flash blood covering my jacket trapped on my arms. Doing little to keep the chilled air from my delicate limbs. Shivers rack my body.

Falling over a dead tree, my face hits the leaf covered ground. And a cry escapes my chapped lips. Struggling to stand once again I take off into the darkness. Uncaring for my unsteady feet on the uneven ground.

Flash, my car sat innocently on the road. Hazards flashing, the spare tire lay on the ground.
