George wanders through the forest he's seen at least a thousand times. Every tree, cave, and river has been explored. After all these years George has left no stone unturned, yet he's never been searching for anything specific. He wanders to a nearby flower field and sits just like he does every day. He flops down in the lush moist grass as the morning dew engulfs him like a blanket. George stares up at the sky with mahogany-colored eyes.

George scans the skies when he hears a rustle in the brush behind him. His long pointy ears flick as he jolts up and looks around. His eyes skim through the dense forest but see nothing out of the ordinary.

After some arguing with himself, he gets up with a groan. He marches over to the brush with confidence he had never experienced before. Before reaching the beginning of the forest he halts as the confidence he thought he had was stolen from him and his nerves started to catch up. He tries to gather whatever confidence he had left and proceeded through the brush only to find a rabbit. He sighed and bent down to meet the little rabbit's eyes.

After closer inspection, he realized this bunny was quite unusual. it had a pinkish tint to its fuzzy mostly white fur. He reached out his pale little hand but before he could touch its silky fur it ran away into the bushes and disappeared probably never to be seen again. His hands rest at his sides and he starts walking to his village. Before he reaches the village he's greeted by his good friend Wilbur. "George! Hey, I was just about to go look for you! I'm going to the town for a super stealthy mission for bread", Wilbur smiles and pulls George into a tight embrace.

"Bread? Really. That's the stupidest thing I've heard all day and I had to tutor Tommy because he's failing everything." George said shoving Wilbur off with a scowl on his face. "I mean if we're going to risk our lives in town there should be more of a purpose," George said crossing his arms.

"Alright so I lied a little bit, I want to go to the library for some new books," Wilbur said smiling nervously as George glared at him with a disappointed look on his face.

"I'm not going to a stupid library with you Wilbur," George said tapping his foot on the ground.

"Alright well then I can get the books and you can get the food!" Wilbur said with a hopeful grin on his face. George sighed and looked up at him.

"You're not going to leave me alone until I say yes are you?" George said with a sigh.

"Probably not", Wilbur said fidgeting with his glasses.

"To the Village, we go, "George said rolling his eyes at Wilbur's sparkling eyes and a wide smile. They mount their horses and ride off onto a dirt trail only leaving hoof prints in their tracks. with hoods over their ears they galloped away fast and quiet. George's brown and blue eyes shine from under the navy blue hood a sigh escaping his lips. They reach the town and George's anxiety is through the roof so He lets Wilbur do the talking.

"Hello good sirs", Wilbur says waving at the guards. George smacks his hand on his face and groans. "I've just come for some trading is all", Wilbur smiles at the guards who are hesitant but open the gates. "Thank you!" Wilbur sings to the guards waving a goodbye. The town was overflowing with creatures of all kinds, from dracotaur, goblins, fairies, and shapeshifters of all shapes and sizes.

It was overwhelming for George who had only ever been outside of the elf sanctuary once or twice. Which was a good thing because nowadays elves are rare after almost going extinct and their magic and knowledge of plants are priceless. Because of this, anyone would do anything to get their hands on an elf, Which is why they had to be quick and stealthy and pray to the goddesses so that they didn't get caught.
