A/n: Mime is working at the local circus in Happy Tree Village, but it doesn't go so well after a few accidents during a performance, so he decides to quit his job and go work at the local fair grounds making balloons for the people in town. As he is walking all the back home to his tent home on a cold night, he hears a baby crying nearby. He goes towards it to find an abandoned baby in a box. He decides takes the baby in through adoption and promises to take really good care of the baby as his own beloved daughter.

Tonight on a cold ngiht in Happy Tree Village, the town's silent, but very funny clown/mime named Mime is walking back home to his tent house after having a bad day back at his old job at the local circus that went horribly wrong after a few accidents that had to shut the place down for good.

It's a good thing that Mime had to quit his old job as a performer at the circus after what he had experienced what happened during the performance that did not go well.

First, Lumpy was acting as a magician and when he asked for a volunteer from the audience to perform the "Saw the Person in Half" Trick that got Cuddles sent to the hospital after Lumpy literally cut Cuddles in half. Then when Flaky and Cro-Marmot was supposed to perform the acrobatic routine in the trapez, Flaky was to scared to do the jump while Cro-Marmot was frozen solid in a block of ice that didn't impress the audience very much after he mysterious managed to get to the other side while being frozen in a block of ice. And who could forget the part where Lumpy got attacked by a pack of lions after unlocking their cage or when Flippy's PTSD was triggered and Fliqpy really knows how to burn the whole house down, which is the tent was burned down to the ground instead of an actual house if you know what I mean?

Thankfully, nobody else got hurt or killed after that circus fiasco happen and the people that were killed back there eventually got revived due to the curse of the Idol and Mime was able to get out of there unscathed.

After Mime resigned his job at the circus, he decided to just go work at the local fairgrounds in Happy Tree Village selling balloon animals thanks to his amazing skills in balloon animal making that he learned in Clown College. He was thinking about moving to Paris, France to work as one of the mime entertainers, but thinking about having the feeling of someone you love so much to know that he moved all the way there to Paris to work as an street performer is enough for him to let that one slide and just go with making balloon animals at the local fairgrounds in town that will give him enough money to have a roof under his head and put food and bread on the table.

He would go work for other jobs around Happy Tree Village, but due to being mute and with his mime/clown skills is not acceptable for the other jobs he's been in to get enough money to buy a new unicycle*.

Right now, he is walking back home to his house tonight after he managed to get a job at the local fairgrounds today  after quiting his old job to avoid any more disasters in the big top.
