One would wonder how I know the last check point, it's because after spending a passionate night in his bed, I know better. But then reality comes slapping me on my face, he's my step brother's best friend.

And that is not what stopping me from wanting one more night with him but the fact that he is engaged to Gracie Masson is.

Falling for Killian isn't my wisest decision and seeing him getting married to someone else, breaks my heart there and then.

One taste of her is enough for me to come back for more. It's addicting, surreal how the girl I have grown up knowing, ends up with me in the last place possible, in my bed.

If anything, Carl Wilson will strangle me once he knows what I had done. It keeps getting messier, with my date of wedding nearing and my desire to claim Lyla as mine, keeps growing more, it takes everything for me to not break off the wedding.

I'm too into deep, knowing I'll never be able to get Lyla out of my head. And just how messed up it is, I stand on the altar, my eyes never meeting Lyla's as Gracie and I are about to take the wedding vows.

Now I just have to get through one year of this contract marriage, and then, I'm claiming Lyla as mine and forever. Deep down hoping her feelings for me does not wears off. My heart has forever been hers.

You all are free to imagine the characters as you may like because the number of time I have seen readers dislike the characters/actors when put up by the authors made me think that I shouldn't put up any face to my characters.
These are just the character aesthetics.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

First things first, ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE. I have grown up reading numerous novels, tried improving my vocabulary by watching movies and series but that's that. So you might find typos, grammatical errors, I will edit them once I have finished this book. Also, I have never been to America, I don't really how everything works there but I'm gonna research my best and try to be as realistic as possible.

I do take criticism but hate is something I can't handle, dropping negative comments will just send me down to a spiral of self doubt. My characters will have flaws because who doesn't have flaws? No one's perfect, neither are my characters. We learn from our mistakes, sometimes we take rash decisions but when we learn from experience, we try to do better. We don't just magically become better.

I have seen authors take down their books from here because of hate comments and it's so heartbreaking. How can one just send death threats and any other vulgar words towards anyone?

So in short, I'm not going to tolerate any hate towards my book, if something is wrong, just point it out politely, I will try my best to put the story in the best way possible.

The book does contain mature scenes, so I would just like to say any underage reader to skip, well, I can only advice because I myself grew up reading smut *face palms*
