Chapter 4: Trip To The Land Of Waves

It was the morning of the next day, the darkness of night was slowly creeping back into the shadows and the brightness of the sun shined down upon the two genin teams standing at the gate with their johnin sensei's. Their mission was to escort a bridge builder named Tasuna back to a group of islands called the land of waves, there they were to guard and protect him until the bridge he was making had been completed.

Tasuna was the last one to arrive along with Kakashi who had gone to pick him up and bring him to the others, they all got their permission to leave from the gate guards and made their way out of the hidden leaf for the first time.
Much to the displeasure of everybody it didn't take long for Ino and Sakura to start their biggering about Sasuke, said boy was clearly the one most annoyed by them but still chose to simply try and ignore it for as long as possible.

Dom on the other hand wasn't nearly patient enough to walk in civilian pace and listen to the two of them at the same time, with permission him and Naruto quickly made their way out to the sides of the forest to check up on the perimeter.
Even though that was the excuse everybody knew that it was just in order to get away from the noises of the two kunoichi. Dom also had the extra excuse that his natural senses were way stronger due to his eyes which seemed to confuse everyone except for Asuma who had been let in on his secret weapon the day his team passed.
That was also the first time he had actually seen and felt them and all he had to say was "Damn they emitted a strong pressure and feeling of Dominance" which made even Asuma sweat slightly.

Dom was going through the trees until his nose picked up on something that smelled dead nearby and quickly made his way over to that location, when he arrived in the small clearing he could see what looked like a deer having been ripped to shreds.
It wasn't the animal alone but all around him he could see subtle evidence that ninja had been camping here waiting for something, that was when it hit him, and he immediately turned on his heel and sprinted back to his team.
Naruto wasn't going as far away as Dom so he was still relatively close by when he noticed a weird puddle of water on the road which couldn't have been there because it hadn't rained for several days straight.
His suspicions were proven correct when he saw Kakashi and Asuma also acknowledging this with a simple look and nod at each other, before Kakashi threw a glance at Naruto that said, "Stay put". He knew better than to question his sensei's orders and just went along with the flow while still keeping an eye on that water puddle.

Suddenly two figures cloaked in black arose from the water and immediately rushed to get Kakashi off guard, they succussed and revealed their right arm which was covered In a metal claw with a hole in the palm.
One of the ninja picked up the other and linked their claw before both connecting a spiky chain to it, the first one threw the other one across the field where they both ensnared Kakashi with their chain. Kakashi's face showed fear and shock as the two ninja ripped his body to shreds, Naruto though could see that it was nothing more than an act from his sensei and that he had used a transformed substitution to make it look real.
Suddenly a hand landed on Naruto's shoulder, and he turned to see the eye smile of Kakashi who seemed glad that he didn't interfere with the attack. Next it was Asuma who also brought out a faked defense and took the same treatment as Kakashi right before also substituting out of the way and landing on the other side of Naruto.
Team 7 and 10 on the other hand seemed horrified at the loss of their sensei's tried getting it together as the enemy ninja turned to face them, with a quick nod the two-ninja dashed at different targets with their chains still connected.
Sasuke was the first to snap out of it and jump into action, his first move was to throw a couple of shuriken into the running chain and stick it to a tree to hinder their movements. He also threw a single kunai to make sure they didn't move out of place and then dashed towards the one closest to him, the man saw Sasuke coming and put up a one-handed defense while trying to wrestle his other arm free.
