I wake up to the sight of Hannelore in my face saying, "Up up up now come on dear! Up up!"
I sit up to see my whole prep team ready to go. "We have to get moving! We have a strict schedule today!" Hannelore yells. I get up and walk over to my prep team who escorts me to another room.
They dress me in a blue hospital gown and sit me down in a chair.
Ciri immediately gets started with my nails. She glues fake nails on my tiny bitten off nails and starts to paint. She first paints a black layer. Then, she paints orange lines on the nails. She adds a lot of detail so the nails really look like fire. They kind of remind me of something, but I don't know what. I remember. The nails look exactly like mom and dad's outfits in the 75 quarter quell chariot parade. "Oh don't your nails look gorgeous darling?!" Ciri asks.
"They really do. They look like they're burning in flames!" I say.
"Yes well nails are my specialty darling."
Then Sequin works on my hair. He brushes it out until there are no tangles at all. Then he grabs what looks like a red ribbon, but he gets closer and I see it's actually fake pieces of red hair. He braids my hair in a thick braid intertwining the red hair. Once he's done it looks flawless. "Oh sweetie don't you look so beautiful!" He says proud of his work.
"I love it! The red is so cool!" I say.
"Well, it was Aneen's idea. You should tell her that when she comes in." He smiles and walks out of the room.
The last member of the prep team walks in, Alexora. She is hold a bag of makeup. "Well let's get to work!" She says. She puts a lot of black eyeliner on my eyelids and around my eyes. Then she blends orange and yellow eyeshadow on my eyelids. She then glues black fake eyelashes on my eyelashes. After that she puts foundation all over my face. The last thing she does, is putting dark red lipstick on my lips. "You look so pretty." She says. Before I can even say anything she exits the room.

I've waited for an hour now in this stupid room by myself, when finally, Aneen walks in. "Sorry I was late I was making last minute touches to your dress." She says out of breath.
    "It's okay." I say.
"Lets get you into your dress we don't need to be late." She slides the dress onto me and tries it in the back. It's a beautiful dress. The top part is strapless and black. The bottom is fluffy and is a mixture of orange and yellow. In the front it stops before my knees, but that back feels like it goes on forever. Then Aneen instructs me to put on the sparkly, black, small heels. So I slide my feel into them.
We meet up with our whole floor at the elevator. We squish in and go. Once we get to the underground floor with the train, we take our seats in the train and it takes off.
"When Ceasor interviews you, even if you don't want to, you have to be happy. You need to present yourself as an innocent kid instead of a rebellious one. This can either make or break you because the audience is full of sponsors." Mom says.
"Don't make any rebellious remarks or anything. You really need sponsors when you're in that arena." Dad says. River and I nod. I don't feel like talking.
It feels like hours before the train finally come to stop. They called each district one by one to get out of their section of the train. Once they finally for district twelve, we all get out of our section and walk of the big stair leading to behind the stage. Peacekeepers immediately march in and escort River and I to the line of kids. They put us at the end. There's a big TV so we can watch the other tributes interviews.
