Part Two: The Girl Who Changed

She was taller now, though she didn't notice it. Her cheeks were more hollow with hunger; her ribs were clearly visable. There were scars were they had not been before, and a frown. The frown seemed to change her the most. She couldn't think of a single thing to smile about, then. 

Things would not get worse than they were right then. She would be cheated, lied to, and shot, but not one more time would she ever be so alone. She didn't know, that though. 

She did have hope, though. She wasn't exactly sure as to why she was so hopeful; maybe because she did have a chance, as small as it may be, it was a chance. 

She had know, two months before, that she would have to leave on a short basis- she had packed up matches, food she had stolen from the pantry, blankets, and everything else he could've thought of. 

But how could shepossibly know that she would need those things?
