As you walk into the tavern, helmet tucked under your arm, you notice the lack of patrons inside. Nevertheless, you approach a table and sit down, setting your helmet onto the table.
It had been a long day. First, a small raiding party of Vikings had attacked, followed by an even larger group that had somehow managed to get a catapult. That was an absolute nightmare. A group of builders had been sent to repair the hole in the wall, which would take all night, possibly even some of the morning.
As the tavern began to fill up with more knights finishing off their rounds of guard duty, you begin to notice a book sat across from you on the table. You look around, and finding no owner, slide the book onto your side.
It looked old and worn, the leather cover covered with small scratches and the pages noticably creased and torn on the edges. You read the barely visible cover

Hervis Daubney, the old Lord of Feronia. Many lords have ruled over Feronia since his passing, and now it was ruled by Lord Frederick IV. Nowadays, Daubney was mentioned in stories of the old times. Times like the reign of the Blackstone Legion, and the terror of the Order of Horkos. This book had to have been at least eighty years old, and why was it in this place?
