"We're going to be late if we don't leave now!" Kaoru told his boyfriend, folding his arms over his chest.
Kojiro just grunted and finished his coffee, still reading the morning newspaper in just his underwear. Kaoru let out an exasperated sigh and stomped into their bedroom, muttering about how much of an idiot Kojiro was. Kojiro laughed from the kitchen and Kaoru had to physically hold himself back from walking in there and punching him in the face or head butting him.
Their flight was leaving in a few hours, and Kojiro wasn't even dressed. The most annoying part was that he was the one who got the tickets and booked the flight for their trip. Kaoru was going to make him sort out everything until he saw the hotel Kojiro was looking at.
"What the hell is that?" Kaoru asked when he saw Kojiro looking at hotels.
"It's not that bad," Kojiro said, shooting a glare in Kaoru's direction. "Yes, it's simple. But it's just a room, we won't be staying there that much."
Kaoru just stared at his boyfriend with a shocked expression. "Kojiro. That hotel has three stars. If you think that I am staying there for a week, you are sorely mistaken. I wouldn't even kennel my dog there."
Kojiro sighed and rolled his eyes. "C'mon, Kaoru. It's not that bad."
"Give me that," Kaoru snapped, pulling the laptop towards him. "I'll be booking the hotel. I can't trust the gorilla you are to do this right. Now go make me some food, I'm hungry."
So that was how Kaoru had booked a week at a five-star hotel. It had everything he needed: a spa for him, a large gym for Kojiro, a spacious room, a rooftop terrace, and breakfast was included. He barely even looked at the price when he booked it.
"We're not going to be late, princess," Kojiro said when he walked into the bedroom.
"Shut up," Kaoru said, and he felt a headache coming. "Just get dressed, I'll load the car."
Kojiro stood behind him and wrapped his arms around Kaoru's waist, resting his head on his shoulder. Kaoru sighed but pressed his cheek against Kojiro's, feeling more relaxed when he did so. They had a few hours to get to the airport before their plane would leave, but Kaoru wanted to leave with enough time in case anything happened on the way there. This had been his routine since the first time he and Kojiro went on a trip together, and he didn't understand why the muscle-headed gorilla couldn't get it through his thick skull. Which meant that arguments like this were nothing new for the two of them.
"If you're not ready in five minutes, I'm leaving without you," Kaoru snapped and picked up their suitcases, taking them to the car. "Don't think I'm joking, Kojiro."
With that, he left the room for Kojiro to get ready. Kaoru made sure he had all of the bags and took them outside, dumping them into the car. He wouldn't admit it to Kojiro, but he was right. They weren't going to be late if they left later, only his anxiety made him believe that they would be.
Kojiro finally came out of the house, wearing as little clothing as he could get away with. Kaoru sighed as he got into the car but didn't say anything, opting to instead look at his boyfriend's exposed chest peeking out of his horrendous unbuttoned shirt.
"I thought I told you to get rid of that shirt," Kaoru said as he pulled out onto the road, trying not to look at the eyesore for longer than necessary. "I believe I bought you some good shirts that were a lot less offensive on the eyes."
Kojiro shrugged and put his hands behind his head, leaning back into his seat. "Yeah, I know. But you love it really."
"I can assure you, I do not," Kaoru hissed, his irritation starting to rise.
