At dinner, they decided to join their brothers in the Main Hall, grateful and wishing to express their gratitude after all. They bowed politely and thanked Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian, but right after that the world disappeared completely; not even their nephews could make them look away from each other.

People were coming and going, trying to talk to them, asking them questions, but Lan Xichen was holding his husband in his arms gently, touching his face and bringing food and tea to his lips, watching him mesmerized  –  to him, nothing was more beautiful in the whole world. Jiang Wanyin was enjoying his lover's touch so deeply that nothing could possibly distract him from the perfect mouth, from that gentle smile, the loving gaze. His hands were caressing, touching, stroking, as if he was still afraid he was dreaming all this, and it was a beautiful fantasy that could never last. But Lan Xichen was here, yes, holding him close, breathing the same air as him.

He knew he was lucky, blessed. Immeasurably happy.

- Huan, my heart is singing... I love you so much...  -  he was whispering.

- Wanyin... My precious love... Beloved...  -  Lan Xichen was leaning down a little, kissing his eyes and stroking his hair, far too happy to worry what people would think or say.

- Eh, Lan Zhan! It's useless! They are not really here.  –  Wei Wuxian sulked. –  What people are those?! First they don't want to even look at each other, and now you can't make them look away!  –  he scoffed, looking up at his husband.

- Mmmmm.  –  Lan Wangji huffed.  –  I am grateful things with you and me are... more prudent. Clearer.

Their eyes met, and Wei Ying nodded; he knew what his loved one meant.

- I knew my brother was emotional. But who knew Zewu-Jun can be so... smitten.  –  he mumbled, shaking his head and observing the couple across the room, touching each other and cooing love confessions to each other as if the world was ending.

- Jin Guangyao –  Lan Zhan hissed through gritted teeth.

Wei Wuxian shuddered. There was pure hatred in his voice, and this was extremely rare with the cool and level-headed Hanguang-Jun.

He knew very well that  –  had that bastard not been dead, his husband would have walked the lengths of the earth to find him and put him to a painful death himself. He sometimes forgot what Zewu-Jun had gone through... but it was still there, in the past, for both him and A-Cheng too.

Now he looked again, and the shared happiness in front of his eyes looked different.

Deserved.

- Ehh, Lan Zhan?  –  he smiled and snuck closer.  –  See how much in love those two are... And you? You haven't kissed me since... Ummm... Since lunchtime! Ah, hah, bad Hanguang-Jun!  It's been too long, husband! Can I have a kiss too? Now? Like, right now?  Would it be inappropriate? It will, won't it? But see the kiddies over there  –  they are still kissing quite shamelessly, and so I th----

He was babbling happily, distracting Lan Wangji from his wrath, but also  –  quite successfully turning him on, so now all the three boys giggled and pointed their fingers, as their daddies were kissing deeply and openly forgetting about everything and everyone.
