Legends High And The Imprisonment

Chapter 1: How It Started

When I was little my mom always told my sister and me stories about this certain darkness that lied within our city and the person who controlled it. She told us his name was Eon and that he was born from the depths of hell though I think that's a little on the nose. She said that when he saw he was gifted with extraordinary powers he saw that others had powers too, and he noticed that other people's powers were better than his so he grew jealous. He realized he could swap an ability with another person so he touched the person with the weakest power and swapped it to the person with the strongest power. When he realized what he could do, he tried to find a way to permanently steal their powers and still have his to make it so that he had every power in the world and become a god. 

His devious plan almost worked if it wasn't for three metas called Cosmos that heard the news of his plan and attacked him. It's sad that because of all the powers he had, he was able to make golems with his darkness. The three Cosmos joined together and became a being that people, today, call "Guardian". They say it used all of its powers to destroy Eon and after he was weakened, they sacrificed themselves to encase it in a pyramid, in which the attack ended. They say that after they trapped Eon, a remaining piece of Guardian's soul flew away and never was found or seen ever again. Some say it was born into someone worthy but who knows what happened. 

After my mom told me the story, I became fascinated with the legend and always wondered if it was ever real. But as I grew up, I started leaving that fantasy and becoming an adult. I'm already 18 I need to stop thinking as if I'm 10 years old. Instead of thinking about a dumb story and start thinking about what I'm gonna do with my life. I went to school and met up with my friends. My friends don't know that I was in love with the Guardian legend and as far as they know, I'm just a friend of theirs who keeps to himself most of the time. I met up with my friends and we sat down at one of the tables and hung out till the bell rang. "Sup Thomas how's it going," Sam said as he sits next to me. "Pretty good dude what about you," I told him as he put his bag on the floor. "Same old, same old my guy, nothing changes am I right," He said as he chuckled. After talking with him for a bit, I saw our other friend Ben walk towards us. "Hey Ben what's up?" I asked him "Oh, I'll tell you what's up, literally!" he says with excitement.

Me and Sam were confused about what he meant by that but then he opened his bag and took out his laptop. "Check, this, out!" He slides his laptop to me and Sam and it's on an article about a bright glowing "aura" speeding in the sky. "I don't get it, Ben, what is this?" Sam asked as I was wondering the same thing. "This "aura" thing in the picture, it might be the Guardian!"Ben said with excitement. "Guardian? You mean that myth the school is making us learn about?"  Someone said behind me. "Jesus! Shawn, you scared me!" Sam said as he almost falls off his chair. "Cool it, Sam, not like I'm gonna hurt you," Shawn says as his eyes turn Ice-y blue and his hands start turning into ice. "We get it, Shawn, You have ice powers," Ben says as he rolls his eyes. "Alright alright, I'll stop" Shawn closes his eyes and his hands turn to normal and once he opens his eyes again, his eyes are back to their normal brown-colored self. 

"Can we just focus on what Ben came here to show us?" I said as I started getting bored listening to them. "Ben, this is cool that you for once reading but I don't think this is real," I told him with a little smile as I tried to hold in a laugh. "What!? What do you "for once" I always read," Ben says with annoyance. "Keep telling yourself that Ben," Sam says laughing. "But, Thomas has a point that could just be someone editing this to get attention. It's a smart move but still" he says. "Sam's right Ben," Shawn says as we all agree. "Look I know I'm the only one interested in the myth, but don't you think that maybe that "myth" can be real? and someone here has Its power?" Ben says with seriousness. "I'll tell you what Ben, I got a friend who can see if this picture is fake or not and when I get the results, I'll let you know," I told him. "Seriously?" Ben said as his eyes opened and he started to smile. "Sure, and after that, we can put this myth thing behind us," I said "Tommy, I owe you one," 

Ben says as he smiled "Anytime Benny" As we start getting ready to head to class, In the corner of my eye I noticed someone, Dove. I've known Dove since we were kids and may or may not have a little crush on her. She can control the wind or air. She looked over to my area and noticed me so I waved at her and she walked over. "Hey Thomas, How are you?" She said as I froze smiling at her. "Thomas?" She said as I was frozen. "um.. dude?" Sam said, "Shawn stop freezing him!" "I'm not doing it dude, that's all him," Shawn says. "For Christ's sake," Sam says as he holds out his hand and shoots electricity at me. "AH! What the-" I said unaware and in pain.I felt embarrassed that I just did that in front of my freaking crush. "I'll see you in class Thomas and maybe there you won't freeze up and we can talk," she says as she giggles and smiles at me as she walks away. "Cya Thomas" "Cya Dove"  As I stared at Dove as she went to class, the bell rang and we started rushing to get to class. "I'll see you guys in the field after school right?" Ben said "Yea my guy," Sam said as we all grabbed our bags and got up and headed to class. "See you guys later," I told them as they all say "bye" to me.

I ran to the stairs to get to my class and managed to catch up with Dove. After she saw me, we both entered class together and decided to sit next to each other. When everyone came into class, the bell rang and class started. We all sat down and our annoying teacher Mr. Collins teleported into class. "Good day class," He said as he put down his bag and started cleaning his glasses. "Today we're going to learn something different for today" "We are going to be learning the history of this city and who the legendary Guardian was" When Mr. Collins said that, the class was shocked mainly because they love the legend of this place but also because Mr. Collins never goes off-topic with his teaching. If we're going to learn about history we might as well go to Mrs. Fletcher's history class to learn about it. "Now I'm assuming you've all heard about the story but in case you haven't let me give you a quick recap." When he said a quick recap... It wasn't quick and was the entire story. "Long time ago when this city was just a town yet to reach its success, the city was roaming with "metas" as we call them now.

Now us Metas such as myself and all of you, were gifted amazing abilities and each being unique from others but there would be chances people would have the same abilities and during that time, a townsperson always asked people "why were we gifted these extraordinary abilities and where did they manifest from?" now many people started wondering the same thing and that's when "they" arrived... "The Cosmos". The class was surprisingly intrigued by the story which took me by surprise. "When the Cosmos appeared they told the townspeople that they are the reason for their existence.

The three Cosmos went by the names of Silqo, Biro, and Sitrio. After the town saw these beings, they treated them as their gods so they worshipped them. The Cosmos told the people they will not live in the world along with them but they will still watch over them. As years went by and people were being born like today's time, only this time.. the day this meta was born, no one would know this meta would bring the worst war in our city's history. Years went by and the meta would grow to be older and older, this meta's name was  Eon and he-" As Mr. Collins was talking, all of a sudden a massive shake started happening.

One of my classmates was smart and used their energy shield ability and put it on the ceiling to protect us from falling debris, but that would last long as a bright flash happened and the shake got worse. Out of nowhere, my classmates said they felt weak and then I saw that Mr. Collins couldn't shift us out of the classroom so we were stuck. "Everyone get out now!" he said as the room started falling apart, everyone made a run for it as I noticed cracks were forming on the walls around the school as everyone made a run for it outside.  When everyone was outside, we turned around and saw giant cracks forming around the school as everyone was scared and shocked. 

When we turned around, cracks started forming on the floor and started opening. When the cracks opened, big rock monsters started coming out and at least 10 appeared before our eyes. All I heard was mumbling and fear from the other students. The teachers and staff tried to use their powers to get rid of them but anytime they used it, the power kept fading away and when it happened, a giant spike made of stone appeared covered in purple glowing cracks. We looked at the top of it and saw the cracks leak a cloud of smoke and circled around the point, all of a sudden the sky turns dark and we hear a sinister laugh, it was Eon standing there starring at us. "Hello, world! I'm back!!" he said as he continued to laugh sinisterly "Oh, it has been far too long since you all have feared me but guess what? Time to revive that fear!" As a bolt of purple lightning struck him, his staff appeared in his hand. "StoneHeads, attack them!" as he pointed his staff at us, his golems started moving towards us as everyone got scared and I just stupidly stood there somehow feeling no fear. As they came closer to us and we were all powerless, all of a sudden I felt something in me, some sort of surge of energy and bright energy appeared blasting the golems back.
