Once dessert was served, Arthur stood up from his seat, cleared his throat and started tapping a fork against his glass to get people's attention. Everyone looked in his direction and once he was satisfied, he set the fork down.
"I uh, heh," he chuckled softly. "I ain't one for speeches, really, but I just wanted to uh, to thank everyone for bein' here and for, uh...for everythin' you folks did to...help make things happen. I feel like I ain't got enough to repay you for your kindness and support, but even so, gettin' to know you folks, it's...it's been a privilege. And I really hope that we can...make a better future for the generations to come, gods and humans alike." Arthur lifted his glass and held it high. "I propose a toast to each and every one of you. Go n-ardóidh na bóithre chun bualadh leat agus go mbeadh an ghaoth i do dhiaidh i gcónaí. Sláinte." [May the roads rise to meet you and may the wind always be behind you. Cheers.]
Everyone raised their glasses, repeated the word, "sláinte", and they all took a drink from their glasses. Lilly smiled up at him. "That was beautiful, Arthur," she said.
Arthur leaned down and kissed her cheek. "Thanks, baby girl," he mumbled before standing up straight once more. "Now, the kids, they uh...they have a little performance planned and it's...it's funnier than hell. Aoífe, Junior, you ready?"
Aoífe and Junior clapped before gathering the other kids, including Freya. They all surrounded the head of the table and Darrach came up with a giggle, holding some drums. Lilly made a confused but amused looks as some of the kids put the drums in front of themselves. As they started drumming, Junior began to sing.
There once was a cat with a hungry belly
The name of the cat was Whiskers Jelly
His throat was dry and his bowl was bare
Meow, me furry cats, meow
The rest of the kids joined in.
Soon may The Kittyman come
With birds and mice and some tasty nums
One day when the critters come
We'll eat 'til our bellies are full
Junior sang alone again as the drumming continued.
Well, Jelly got his boys and they gathered 'round
They scattered seeds from a sack they found
In hopes the seeds they spread on the ground
Would bring small critters about
All the kids started singing once more.
Soon may The Kittyman come
With birds and mice and some tasty nums
One day when the critters come
We'll eat 'til our bellies are full
Once again, Junior sang alone.
Well, the gang was bored and morale had dipped
'Til one of the seeds grew green catnip
They sniffed and they snacked and they all got ripped
They all had a meow that night
The kids chimed in again as Lilly and everyone started chuckling.

One day when the critters come
